rushgoober Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 as great as hemispheres, and really the whole album is, la villa strangiato spoiled me to the point that i would always be disappointed thereafter whenever a rush album DIDN'T contain an instrumental - quite an amazing accomplishment, and for me to say it's their best instrumental, taking into consideration how great YYZ is, REALLY says something...
Guest Xourque Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 La Villa Strangiato is my favorite Rush instrumental. It is filled with so much emotion. Whenever I listen to it, I see some small latin town with red brick and stuco walls. The melody is simply beautiful.

I think it has to be one of their bests, although xanadu is good too.

Hemispheres 2. The Trees 3. Circumstances 4. La Villa After listening to la villa billions of times, i've come to realize it's not as killer of a song as the others. Not saying it's a bad song, but the others definately show more talent IMO.
