What if we're wrong about the cover?

I just had an epiphany.

Ever since the cover art was leaked a week ago many of us have read the 'clock' as saying 9:12... or 21:12 military time.

What if we're wrong?

What if the clock actually reads 9:11?

"In a world lit only by fire.

A long train of flares under piercing stars"

Gives this line a different context to think of the time this way, eh?

"The caravan thunders onward

To the distant dream of the city

The caravan carries me onward

On my way at last"

and

"I cant stop thinking big...

In a world where I feel so small

I cant stop thinking big"

The city of dreams, the city where you dream big.

"Carried through the night into the city

Where a young man has a chance of making good

A chance to break from the past"

If you look at the original leaked image, shown here:

Power Windows' site

The minute hand has definitely been changed to be longer, to draw a distinction between the two hands. But, I can't tell if it's 9:11 or 9:12. I would be surprised if that was a 9/11 reference.

9-11 was certainly a defining moment for the world. But CA is a concept album so unless it is about corrupt governments and CIA cover ups then I don't think it is likely. Now 21.12 well I think we can all see the connection as that album had a conceptial side, hell there is probably even a direct reference in one or more of the songs.

Exactly

Yeah, but see how Snaked didn't come back and argue and argue about it after several people reasoned that it couldn't be a reference to 9/11? Unlike you in your thread?

Notice how you had to bump a thread that died over a month ago after only 11 posts. Why do you think it died? I'm thinking because the question was asked, answered and accepted, and/or not important enough to drag out for 6 pages.

Remember what I said in your thread about how it should have lasted no more than 20 posts? Like this one? And, remember how we asked you to drop this?
