The Godfather.

Unbelievably, I've never seen it before yesterday. I know, I know, I just never got around to seeing it before.

So yeah I can see why this is the best movie in history behind Citizen Kane WOW. I'm going to see part 2 probably Sunday and can't wait.

P.S. Though I've seen CK before and I thought The Godfather was a million times better.

Never seen either one of them........ Honesty as always  :)

Another Statham fan! Cool!

This wasn't just a Statham vehicle, this was well made, well written and well acted crime caper flick. There were many good performances from well known names and not so well known names alike.

Have you seen it? You need to catch this one.

Aye it's good right away but it gets better as it goes along, as the plot parts unfold like the petals of flower as it opens...

Haven´t seen the three ones above, T-D, but they look rather promising!

The second one, Splinter I didn't really like, it's one of those shaky camera/hectic editing films, you could hardly see what the hell is going on during action scenes. It also featured the worst and most unconvincing monster I've seen in a while, plus the characters were dumb, the scenario and plot limited, the script was weak and the husband and wife were such a laughable match that it distracted you from the plot, but maybe that's a good thing...

The other two thrillers were good, Anamorph is like a slow burning Se7en but more subtle, not as good either but pretty decent. Dafoe delivers as usual. The other film Transsiberian was the most original and interesting of the three, Mortimer provides the main performance but Woody is solid as the nerdy husband and Ben Kingsley steals the film as a Russian cop.

Also, based on a true story which makes it different that the usual meat and potatoes Statham action movie which explains why it's his most critically acclaimed of his action movies as I've noticed. Speaking of true stories...

Well part 2 is even better. Get back with your take.

Hi again, well I saw part 2 and honestly I thought part 1 was a better movie. Though it was still VERY good, I thought it seemed to jump around too much- and I don't mean between young Vito and the present-tense Michael bits. Like how all of the sudden he was on trial, it just seemed to spring up out of nowhere.

I'm also unsure of how to take the ending. I mean the parts after Fredo and the boat (which was cool). Like why they went from showing everybody at the table from before (most people were dead like Sonny, Fredo, Michael's bodyguard, etc) and then they show Michael just sitting alone at the very end. I thought the ending to the first movie was far superior with the door closing and the kissing of the rings and stuff.

Three was a pleasant surprise after the awful two thanks to Brolin's performance.

I hadn't seen any of these films before, finally I got around to it. The first one is the best one, as is usually the case with these kinds of film series.

Brolin absolutely nailed Tommy Lee Jones, he was perfect. He had the tone, the speech rhythms, the accent, the little Tommy Lee nuances etc. He had him down cold! Brilliant!

Three is better than Two I agree btw.
