Tommy Sawyer
Well? Which is your favorite instrumental section from the classic Pink Floyd album. I have included solos as well as instrumental songs. For me, it's all about Any Colour You Like It.
raygun47
"Any Colour You Like" by a long shot. I love the Dream Theater version on the live boot. Very good.
invisibleairwaves
I'm split between On The Run and the instrumental sections from Money and Us And Them. Leaning towards Money because that time signature/instrumentation change is so freaking badass. I always thought Any Colour You Like was the weakest track on the album. go2wrk@95974
Time intro gets my vote. They were so innovative, for the time period... Barrett was even more so,until he self-destroyed himself with LSD..what a wasted talent.Had the guitar talent/ability to be a true legend, like even Hendrix, but fizzled out way too soon....truly tragic.. what'a classic LP. ColdFireYYZ
I went with Time (into). The whole song is excellent but that beginning is just so strange yet brilliant.

Ted Barchetta
The solo in 'Time' gets my vote. Such emotion and expressiveness. I've been chasing that great guitar tone too. All I need is a good delay pedal and I'm there.

Tommy Sawyer
Wow. A lot more distribution than I thought there would be. QUOTE (raygun47)"Any Colour You Like" by a long shot. PhilCastro
So hard to pick! I remember some of my first listens to the album, The eerie piano in 'Great Gig' always grabbed me for some reason. This gets my pick
Show Don't Tell
This was a tougher choice than I thought it would be! Gonna have to go with "Any Colour You Like". Groovy stuff. The instrumental section in "Money" is runner-up.
GuitarKid 1880
My favorite is that solo in Us and Them, I find it a great solo. Also, was it a guitar solo or a Sax solo? The questions is bugging me, so I thought I would ask it.

invisible airwave
If we're talking solos in songs with lyrics the guitar in Time and the sax in Money FTW.
Silas Lang
QUOTE (invisibleairwaves @ Aug 11 2011, 10:29 PM)I always thought Any Colour You Like was the weakest track on the album. Killer Floydian jam. ACYL is proving to be surprisingly popular. I wonder how many who voted for it would prefer the On The Run segment to have remained as it was originally as a guitar driven instrumental piece rather than what it evolved into in the studio.
