Tick
I walked down to my basement about 3 hour ago to discover my freezer door was ajar. I open the door and its totally soaked in there! All my meat, ice cream, frozen foods pretty much completely thawed! I am throwing around a few F bombs realizing I left the freezer door open yesterday and probably ruined quite a bit of meat and thus quite a bit of money. So I check the stuff and find its not completely thawed out. Its actually at the stage where I would start to cook it. So what was I to do? Well, at this moment, I have 5 pork loin roasts in a crock pot to make pulled pork. A 6 pound Chicken in my rotisserie. A family pack of wings in the oven for buffalo wings. A bunch of seasoned pork chops on the grill. A bunch of split chicken breasts on my other grill. A 20 pound Turkey still defrosting to be cooked tomorrow. I am doing my best to make a bad situation as good as possible what man what a couple of hours the last two have been. I need another beer!!! I have the reverse of your problem. My ice maker malfunctioned. The frozen cubes weren't being ejected into the hopper. Instead, water would flow into the already filled cube holder and overflow into the hopper and into the rest of my freezer. I woke up the other morning to find my entire freezer frozen into a solid block of ice! f**k! It took a couple of days and some chisel work, but I managed to salvage everything. I worked 9 hours yesterday, then came home and mowed the lawn. This was the last thing I wanted to deal with on a weekend I am working all 3 days. At least I was able to salvage most of the stuff, even if I didn't really want to deal. Still have the Turkey to deal with!
