Why does the Chinese option have to be fast food? My fave is Chinese, but proper Chinese food, not fast food.

hence the reason why voting for real Asian food would be your pick.

Well, I thought that implied Japanese as well, and I've never had Japanese...

Barney, I don't think I have a specific fave dish. I like a few - Sweet & Sour chicken, Char Sui, beef and beansprouts, stir fry veg... Aw damn, now I'm getting hungry again! laugh.gif

Ahh Char Sui - BBQ pork slices. Goes great with soya sauce and rice.

Ever have fatty sausage?

No. Nice?

Not particularly healthy, but tasty

I would have a hard time eating sausage from Myanmar:

from the Wikipedia entry, bolded part mine:

"Myanmar

In Burmese, the sausage is called either kyet u gyaung (lit. chicken intestine stick; ကြက်ဦချောင်း) or Wet u gyaung (lit. pork intestine stick; ဝက်ဦချောင်း). The sausages made in Myanmar are more meaty and compact compared to the ones in Singapore or China. They are usually used in fried rice and along with fried vegetables, mostly cabbage."

I don't think I've tried that one, but just FYI, western sausages are made pretty much from the same shit smile.gif

There are variations of the chinese kind. One is made with pork liver. BMore bitter, and tastier IMO.

Seafood should have been an option.

I'll go with Italian food.

Chinese and Filipino sausage are much meatier and tastier than anything Jimmy Dean ever offered. I'd easily give the Myanmar one a whirl.

For me, the smell of food is more important than the looks or what it's made of

The term "Asian food" is so broad and varied that it's almost funny to me that it's lumped as one.

As far as countries go, my top 3 would probably be:

1) Filipino food

2) Chinese

3) Italian

Food would probably be:

1) roast pork

2) Peking duck

3) lobster

The one food that I could easily eat every day would be pizza common001.gif

Don't remember the places in Toronto. But the first night I got there I had some with Bonzy. Then, a few days later again with you, Siggy & his bro (though that time was more due to intoxication than hunger). Then, had it one last time by myself before I left. common001.gif

Ah yes. The more you eat curry the easier it becomes for your G.I to digest it. My man makes an AMAZING curry chicken! I need to steal his recipe ph34r.gif

Depends... I've known to have some favorite foods that are not such a favorite anymore.

Example: french fries. I still love the heck out of them but because I try not to eat them as much, I don't crave them as much...

My favorite food of the moment? Pulled pork. I can't get enough and our bar makes a mean pulled pork sandwhich. If I ate that for the rest of the year (yes, all week and few days of it left), I'd be so happy. And 50 pounds heavier.

Man...I'm coming to your house Barney.

I love good food, and anything that is well prepared. I tend to make stuff on the mediterranean side. Try to eat a lot of veggies, less meat. But occasionally we go to a Brasserie that is just this side of heaven.
