Yeah, definitely sedated. But some of the other ones were waking up (like the first pic I put up). Still, over a dozen of those sleepy thangs is scarier than 3 unchained, barking dobermans. The better/clear pics are the ones where they were sleeping/sleepy...any of the unclear ones were because the tigers were uncooperative and not sitting still [naturally, since they were waking up]. Even scarier was the dudes giving me instructions in Thai about what NOT to do around the tigers. I don't speak Thai!!!

Hell, put me in that zoo right now. Sedate my ass and take a pic of me for your photo albums! It was part temple/part zoo. At the time I went they were building a larger and very massive pit-type "den" for the tigers to live. The tiger petting area wasn't where they were actually kept. They were living in a separate part of the complex. All of those tigers had been injured in various tiger traps [illegally set of course] THEN were saved by local conservationists. The money from tourists is used to fund everything there. The monks claim the tigers aren't drugged but that just CAN'T be true. Wild animals are....WILD. As I said, it was part zoo but naturally the tiger section was the main attraction. But, here are some water buffalo for you: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c107/andrewq2112/bangers%20august%2009/IMG_4646.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c107/andrewq2112/bangers%20august%2009/IMG_4649.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c107/andrewq2112/bangers%20august%2009/IMG_4647.jpg One more tiny tiger that wasn't actually that tiny: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c107/andrewq2112/bangers%20august%2009/IMG_4644.jpg
