High Water Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 What I want to know is why no Seconds hand? HW
Solitudeix Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 This is an interesting thing. this also reminds me of a post back on the Rush Chronicles for VT where some person analyzed all the tarot cards shown in the album artwork... it was later banned... which sucked cause I wanted to read it again.

ghostworks Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Apr 9 2010, 07:54 PM) do you think they actually took all that into consideration when designing it, or did it just "look cool"? lol I'm pretty sure a great deal (if not all) of it was intentional, especially given the direct connections between some of the symbols and the band members. How much input the band had themselves, hard to guess.
ghostworks Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 QUOTE (Andrew1 @ Apr 10 2010, 12:50 AM) ...how did you even know where to start looking? How did you know it was alchemy? I thought that science was long dead. I'm guessing that you probably have your own time machine that you invented. I'm a graphic designer, so I have a huge reference library of text styles, fonts, images and symbols (online and in print) - I recognized some of them just from familiarity. And yes, I do own a time machine, too, although I didn't use it for this project. (ps - your grandfather's name was Robert)

Can you tell me the next ten Kentucky Derby winners and some PowerBall numbers for next month? Thank you.

ILSnwdog Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Now that you have figured that out...do you have some free time to knock out my taxes?
vprtrls Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Anybody else notice that the year digits are changing from 2010 to 2011 on the graphic? Is there a deeper meaning...obviously there must be with this sweet elemental info on the clock.
PumpkinHead Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Look Closely..... 1) Gear with a Red Ball / Steering Wheel = The Dragon 2) Gear with a Clock = The Beast 3) Gear with Number 3 = The False Prophet * The Three Gears = The Unholy Trinity * Gear with Rush Time Machine Tour = Satan (the symbol underneath the U means Lucifer)

RUSHian62 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 My brain hurts! Maybe Neil's a Full Metal Alchemist fan?
Kubla~Khan Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) Thanks! I have close friends and family that think Rush is some sort of cult band. Especially with the Starman... OMG! Now I can give them a full rundown of the Alchemy signs and put this to bed once and for all. Cool find! Sticker Kit Gear Arrangement: Although, If you haven't already noticed, the four gear Time Machine symbol would be a non functioning gear driven mechanism. Because the #3 gear in the top right would be working against the clock gear and the time machine gear, eventually stripping the teeth from the #3 gear. As it would be called ~ An interference fit. USB Connector Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) Nice work, but 1 oclock is also the symbol for brimstone Edited April 4, 2011 by usb_connector
Nim2 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) Nice work. Now lets figure out if it has any real meaning or not. Maybe it's some kind of code or world wide conspiracy...... Or maybe I'll have a beer and lay down. Edited April 4, 2011 by Nim2
