JohnnyBlaze
QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Feb 13 2010, 06:56 AM) Again, technically not "zombies," but... THE OMEGA MAN. The original Heston version. http://ochentosos.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/omega.jpg Saw that movie a few times ages ago. Read something on that which said they were originally closer to vampires in the book. I love zombie films!!! Hard to pick the best...I like both Dawn of the Dead films and Return of the Living Dead was pretty fun too. And yeah, the "28" films were both good even though they weren't really zombies. Oh Bob! When I was a kid I loved staying up extra late on Saturday nights when my parents had friends over for dinner and cards! I used to stay up late and watch Creature Features hosted by the great Bob Wilkins. Some of those midnight horror flicks would scare the crap out of me! Nothing compares to "Omega Man." I haven't seen "I Am Legend." I'm guessing I'd be disappointed, since I love the Heston film so much. The Richard Matheson book "I Am Legend" was the basis for "The Last Man on Earth" starring Vincent Price (1964), "The Omega Man" starring Heston (1971), "I Am Legend" with Will Smith (2007), and a direct-to-video film called "I Am Omega" (also in 2007). I've only seen the Heston movie.

But it seemed like Denzel Washington would've been better suited in the role. I just don't/can't think of Will Smith as a virologist. I need to watch Omega Man again...it's been so long.
