  1. This is an interesting thread (and our companion thread over at CP) It's an interesting world. As I said over there, the people on these boards aren't meat anymore. When the trinetters did this, it was straight out of "To Serve Man" a Twilight Zone episode (check it out, it's a classic!). Those of us that are left are doing this because we enjoy it. We like the semi anonymity of a message board, and frankly these days we use it to haggle over religion and politics, forbidden subjects in social media unless you want to lose your job and ruin your career. I appreciate you guys. You may have the longest sigs in the world, but you're all pretty cool.
  2. Hi All, We have had a loss of our server and all of it's data apparently. First and foremost I'm sorry for anyone who depends on us for this happening. Counterparts is run by people who care, but who also have real world lives and who are not infallible. Thank you for being our friends. We are discussing what to do next, whether to rebuild or do something else or nothing at all. Your comments and thoughts mean a lot to us, and I'm sorry, personally if I have let you down. I consider you all part of my extended family. Whether we agreed on things, or vehemently disagreed on things, or barely registered on each others' radar, I still care about you all very much. I'll post here and on the CP Facebook page and twitter when we have come to a decision and post it https://www.facebook.com/CounterpartsMessageBoard Please continue with your thoughts and ideas here and there and we will regroup and figure out something Thank you so much for your patience! Fenderjazz and all of us who run Counterparts (rushmessageboard.com)

    Dead Barchetta

As my friend wrote it, of course I've read it and I'm a bit biased. I do think it is good for someone who likes to read descriptive travel books, in a mystery/thriller/fiction setting. It was a very fast read, and the Rush references are plentiful and fun.
  4. Dawn of the Dead (original Romero Classic) Evil Dead 2 Dead by Dawn Night of the Living Dead (ditto) The Evil Dead Planet Terror (not zombies but they act like them) Army of Darkness Sean of the Dead (a romantic comedy with zombies)
  5. I attempted to watch it anticipating a nudie flash of Nicole Kidman. Put me to sleep. Not even for Nicole.
  6. Haven't read the whole thread yet, so I'll chime in with a half-cocked answer. AI voting illustrates how the public, at large compromises. In the end you get a watered-down winner rather than someone who is really good. Interesting parallels can be drawn to politics, and whatnot. But really, the contestant with the widest appeal rather than talent wins. Looks and versatility play into it. Basically, I'm bored with pop music. Always have been.
  7. Having seen the trailer, this does not look like a typical Olliver Stone movie. It really seems to be about relationships and struggle. Certainly isn't being sold as a JFK redux. We'll see. To see Nicholas Cage in it gives me hope, that a real NY guy from a real NY family is in it.
  8. I have a hard time deciding. On the one hand Katherine McPhee is so adorable. On the other, Rachel Ray has the smile, the spunk and the attitude in addition to the adorable factor. Its tough.
