vital signz
I personally had to go with John Cleese. He could make me laugh more than all of the other guys. Palin was my second favorite....

Sonatine
gotta be Cleese - he just screams screen presence. And not forgetting the classic lines... "It's not pining. It's passed on! This parrot is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late parrot. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. If you hadn't nailed it to the perch, it would be pushing up the daisies. It's rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. THIS IS AN EX-PARROT." and not forgetting "All right ... all right ... but apart from better sanitation, better medicine, better education, irrigation, public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order ... what have the Romans ever done for us?" Your_Lion
Graham Chapman He could add a genius twist to the other guys ideas. The dead parrot sketch was originally going to be a sketch about a broken radio, until Graham Chapman said that it'd be funnier if it was something more ridiculous...like a dead parrot. Padfoot
I voted John, but Eric Idle is up there as well. I got a complete TV-DVD set for Christmas, I wasted most of my holidays watching all the footage. f***ing hilarious.
blackhawkrush
I voted for Cleese but I have to say that when he left Monty Python, the episodes were just as good without him. No, they weren't. Ya_Big_Tree
Another reason Jonesy is my fave Pithy! This was the VERY first Python sketch I saw when I was like 3, I still remember laughing when Terry Jones was squawking SPAM SPAM SPAM and eventhough I was too young to get the jokes, I thought it was funny cause of his voice.
