Alex
Well, I have been watching the shinnanigans about Star Wars recently and...Wow guys. Just wow. Lets not attack SW fans and also, SW fans, no need to over-analyze shit either! This thread is not "in disguise" or anything, just purely one question for fun and not obsession So what is your guys' favourite Star Wars song? I have TONS of favourites but this one is under the category of Epic. Espicially the scene it goes with. (Millenium Falcon chase in Episode V for those of you who forget but how could you!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJtBHPDptUs Beginning at 2:18 gives me chills. Rendclaw
The Asteroid Field is probably John Williams' finest moment in the Star Wars saga, perhaps even as a composer. I never get tired of that piece... I remember when my aunt bought me the Empire Strikes Back soundtrack (on 8-track, no less) for my 12th birthday and I played the HELL out of that tape.... I had the MECO Star Wars album, and it got destroyed by a neighbor... but I found it on the net, and it lives again..
RUSHHEAD666
"Cantina Band" song in "A New Hope." Worst Star Wars song ever is "Lapti Nek" in "Return Of The Red Eye."
Jack Aubrey
I love what Robot Chicken did with the music. 'Empire on Ice'. 'Max Rebo's Greatest Hits'. Funny stuff!

GeddyRulz
Brilliant. Accurately encapsulates the story of Episode One.
Presto-digitation
I really dig a lot of the scores from the most recent film, especially the music during Order 66... and the immolation scene.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKZgY4xGIwk&feature=related Really sorrowful stuff...and sadly overlooked because "it's in the prequels." That music that plays over the Anakin/Padme stare across Coruscant is really great as well. What an effective scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlAGuUqpYwo Some of the most atmospheric scoring in any of the six films. I point these out because the music of the first three films and the Duel Of The Fates piece from Ep. 1 are so readily discussed and loved. So a nod back to some pieces that get overlooked. Well I will say we're talking about John Williams here and not some movie character or favorite line or costume or weapon, so I think this rises a bit out of the geeky stew...some. We could start a "who's your favorite Power Puff Girl thread?" That'd be cute. Edited January 12, 2010 by Presto-digitation
