UGH this song on now sounds like a commerical for Greek getaways from the 60's...

Howe sounds as flat as a fart in 2D...

I'm on track 6 and it's clear that this is THE WORST ever YES album. Wow I wish I'd youtubed this one first... :eyeroll:

Must be why they are playing at Casinos.

Your impressions are appreciated, though. I'll be Youtubing it myself... with great trepidation.

It makes me grind my teeth in anxiety listening to it...I need a release of energy like a spastic dance with crazed expressions, it's music for the insane! You have to be mad to listen to it! :16ton:

They should play in a circus, they need to borrow those clown suits from the other thread!

The vocal "melodies" sound like they were put together with a ratchet and a wrench. It clanks along in a hippy dippy folky clown porn way. This singer is awful, an Anderson clone but one who is tuneless. The drummer is trying to hide in the mix but we can hear you Alan! Cardboard box time again!

Engelbert Humperdinck will sound great after this...

I'm listening to Time and a Word right now, myself.

I've been a big fan of Yes for...a whole month now!

Lots of catching up to do, but I'm very grateful for what I've been turned on to so far.

the latter half of their discography is nothing you need to concern yourself with too much :)

Did you actually buy a physical copy of the album? The only Yes I've listened to is The Yes Album through Close To The Edge so I think I'm gonna take your word for it and stay FAR away from the new Yes album as possible.

I've gathered that, for the most part. It's been nothing past 1974, so far.

Edit- except for Going For the One, which is fantastic!! :)

I have all of those except for Tormato. I saw it on vinyl today for $6.99, but I passed on it. Maybe I shouldn't have?

My favorite has to be Going For the One.

I do like 90125 and Talk a lot, actually. I was a big Trevor Rabin fan and I'm not a Howe fan by any means. Keystudio was their only post-Rabin album I enjoyed, and I think that was because they had something to prove with the classic lineup and all.

For as much as I like Rabin, Big Generator is a heaping pile of trash.

I think its great myself. Its a little different and quirky in spots but I enjoy it...
