ReRushed
QUOTE (Rush! @ Dec 20 2009, 02:50 AM) I really love Wire, especially the '154' album, which is usually looked at as their weakest. They have such a unique sound, I can't think of another group who has a similar sound to theirs. During college I wore out my import vinyl copy of Pink Flag. 154 is probably my favorite Wire album. I listen to Chairs Missing the least, though "Outdoor Miner" is one of my favorite songs of all-time. I think all Wire is good, but you can't top the first three albums. Spindrift82
The Moody Blues are vastly underrated, IMO. Just listen to any of their albums, their songwriting was a craft, not to be reckoned with.

Yeah, 154 was kind of a difficult album for me for a while, and now all of a sudden it's my 2nd favorite behind Chairs Missing. I used to listen to Pink Flag quite frequently, but not as much anymore. It's still a good record, but I enjoy the more adventurous material on CM and 154. I have yet to listen to their other albums. I've heard mixed things about them. Edited December 20, 2009 by Rush!
Rush Cocky
Day after day, day after day We stuck nor breath nor motion As idle as a painted ship Upon a painted ocean Water, water everywhere And all the boards did shrink Water, water everywhere Nor any drop to drink Never did Samuel Taylor Coleridge sound so good........ Dead God, it was wonderful. I'll review it over Christmas.

rushgoober
QUOTE (Spindrift82 @ Dec 20 2009, 08:02 AM) The Moody Blues are vastly underrated, IMO. Just listen to any of their albums, their songwriting was a craft, not to be reckoned with. All their albums from Days of Future Passed through Seventh Sojourn are pretty essential, especially the first four, but really all 7 should be in most people's collections. Truly beautiful, transcendental stuff that no one ever matched in rock music.

Xanadu93
I'm really glad iTunes has all of Black Flag's material, otherwise I'd either have to order it online or try to find it in stores.

Xanadu93
You know, sometimes I wish bands never evolved because so often I see fans of a band's older stuff who know that it's better than anything that band will ever make and call anyone who thinks otherwise a tone-deaf moron with no taste in music.
