Really enjoying Robyn Hitchcock lately - I Often Dream of Trains and Gotta Let this Hen Out!

Surprised I hadn't really listened to him sooner. Want to get more.

It was his appearance in a Syd Barrett documentary which got me interested.

If you like Robyn Hitchcock you HAVE to get The Soft Boys Underwater Moonlight.

Oh man, Going For the One kicks ass.  1022.gif

Have you heard "Awaken" yet? A masterpiece.

I'm listening to it right now, as a matter of fact. biggrin.gif

I'm becoming a huge Wakeman fan.

Status Quo, now there's an underrated Rock band.

Absolutely!!

From Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon to Blue For You they were something else!!!

I'd like to hear some Status Quo. They never made it in the States..

Where should I start?

I'm heavily into Macca at the moment. The man's a craftsman and if you really dig into his catalogue there is trully magnificent stuff there. Yeah, he's silly and trite, but there is really is some substance to it all.

I love his last album. Sure hope he tours!!!

Best piece of music ever written is that.

Get Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon, at their bluesy-rootsy best.

Their breakthrough alum Piledriver really is something else. Balls to the wall boogie all the way, with two quite beautiful slower numbers thrown in. Check out Paper Plane on Youtube first maybe.

Then try Quo, Hello, On The Level or Blue for You. What they did was simple, but they did it very well.

I am intrigued by Ry Cooder's new album I, Flathead.

It's very good, better than Chavez Ravine and My Name Is Buddy, but they got much better reviews.

Thanks! I still have to get myself a birthday present, and that might be it! biggrin.gif

Kings X are the most highly overrated band, by the fewest number of people.

You've got one Kings X album, you've got them all.

Status Quo, now there's an underrated Rock band.

I think your mouth and rectum just swapped places mate...although I agree about Quo

Oh, that's just how he normally talks. Every once in a while, his rectum and mouth will switch back.

I never enjoyied Avantasia before I saw their concert.

I don't like their older stuff though. But the last album, The Scarecrow is pretty great to listen!

I didn't know any of their songs before the concert start and I was amazed since the first songs they playied.

I recommend some songs: Twisted Mind; The Scarecrow; Carry Me Over, Lost in Space, I Don't Believe in Your Love.

I remember the first time we heard Porcupine Tree's "Stupid Dream" album, in 1999. From the opening of the first track (Even Less) our jaws were on the floor.

Although I love everything they've done since then (and a lot of what came before) it's still my favorite PT album.
