tigers not in it so I couldnt care less about it.

If there was no Tiger Woods anymore how many people would watch it? Just how important is Tiger to the game of golf? You're not the only one who thinks that way. Events that don't have Tiger in them often have significantly less viewership.

Tiger has won less than 50% of the majors he's been in so whoever wins it this year doesn't have to feel like its not a true championship without Tiger, he will be a true champion -

I'm just saying that a lot of people feel the same way as you. There's nothing wrong with it. In a similar vein, I admit I stopped watching the NBA for the most part after Jordan retired for the second time.

Tiger has not only won 14 majors, he's finished in the top five 11 other times. I guarantee that whoever wins will have his title questioned, not having had to beat the world's best player to do it.

That being said, the major title will certainly be cherished by the champion.

Greg Norman would be a great story though. Even without Tiger, it'll be a big story...and if he's in the final group on Sunday...people will watch.

What a great story that is. Hope he hangs in there.

Wow Greg Norman is leading

Which was followed by the inevitable "Greg Norman is choking."

That's why I didn't even bother to turn it on. I've seen that movie before.

Harrington's 2nd shot on the 17th to within 4 feet of the hole was probably one of the greatest clutch shots in Major's history -

Congrats to the Irish -

I disagree. The pressure was largely off Harrington by 17 and while his 2nd shot there was a great shot I don't think it qualifies as clutch. If he was down by 1 or even with someone then, yeah, it's clutch. But increasing the lead from 2 to 4 shots...not so much.

Great win by Harrington however, 2 in a row and that's pretty damn impressive. Tiger or no.

But.

We all knew what was going to happen to Norman although I have to give the old man props for even being in that spot especially with the weather giving the players a solid "rodgering" all week.

And yet another stellar performance by the top players in the world. Ernie...Phil...Sergio (strike that...I hate Sergio and hope that greasy Euro-trash punk-bastard never wins a major)...Vijay...Retief? Anyone there? Perhaps you've heard Tiger's not playing and you better get while the getting's good. None of those guys have a pair of nads between them.
