"Unanswered questions are much more dangerous than unquestioned answers." - seen on the board outside my Unitarian Church.

doh.gif That should read the opposite! It's...

Unanswered questions are far less dangerous than unquestioned answers.

Thank you.

Am I correct in assuming that you have the latest special edition Blade Runner DVD? I'm such a nut for it that I got the six-disc edition in the plastic silver briefcase with a hologram, a small replica police spinner, and a plastic replica of Gaff's Origami unicorn. I love, love, love Blade Runner! And I'm not even a big sci-fi fan! There are also replica's of Deckard's gun available on Ebay and I will get one one day. I think it'd be really cool to have it hanging on the wall of my den. Here's one: Deckard's gun replica. Cool, huh?

I've got the Remastered Director's Cut from a couple of years ago: a considerable improvement over the original and original Director's cut.

I remember watching the original BR in the cinema back in 83 I think. I was bored rigid in truth, even though the visuals in full blown 70mm were totally awesome. I think most of the audience were expecting some fast action movie - a cross between Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Wasn't until it came out on Video did I start to warm to the film, especially the DC version sans Deckard's narration and the totally naff "happy" ending"

It is by far my favourite SF film, even though it has its weaknesses here and there.

Nice Gun too. smile.gif

I saw this quote on a Dr. Seuss themed t-shirt, but I don't think it's actually a Seuss quote but I love it nonetheless.

"We meant what we said and we said what we meant and we went to bed happy 100 percent"

Pretty deep truism if ya think about it.

Edit: I scoured around a bit, and it must be a play on this line from Dr Seuss.

"I meant what I said, and I said what I meant.

An elephant's faithful, one hundred percent. "

From Days of Future Passed by The Moody Blues:

Cold hearted orb that rules the night,

Removes the colours from our sight,

Red is gray and yellow white,

But we decide which is right.

And which is an illusion?

Pinprick holes in a colourless sky,

Let insipid figures of light pass by,

The mighty light of ten thousand suns,

Challenges infinity and is soon gone.

Night time, to some a brief interlude,

To others the fear of solitude.

Brave Helios wake up your steads,

Bring the warmth the countryside needs.

Breathe deep the gathering gloom,

Watch lights fade from every room.

Bedsitter people look back and lament,

Another day's useless energy spent.

Impassioned lovers wrestle as one,

Lonely man cries for love and has none.

New mother picks up and suckles her son,

Senior citizens wish they were young.

Cold hearted orb that rules the night,

Removes the colours from our sight.

Red is grey and yellow white.

But we decide which is right.

And which is an illusion?
