In no particular order: La Villa Strangiato (if I had to choose just 1, this would probably be it) Freewill Limelight 2112 Overture The Necromancer Dreamline Mission Between the Wheels The Big Money The Analog Kid Kid Gloves Cut to the Chase The Larger Bowl
PloKoon13
I really love the solo from Analog Kid. I also love the angry solo at the end of Presentation. And of course, La Villa Strangiato...
PloKoon13
N.B. Agreeing with what others said before, I meant the La Villa Strangiato from Exit Stage Left.
RyanC
QUOTE (3113 @ Jul 2 2008, 05:58 PM) Different Strings fadeout at the end. Has that song ever been played live? Great choice, the solo was cut way too short IMO. BTW Different Strings has never been played live as far as I know. At the time it was intended to be a studio song only anyway. Ghost of a Rider
Too many to list but one I haven't seen mentioned yet that always gives me shivers: Witch Hunt from ASOH.
Show Don't Tell
Okay, I simply can NOT choose just one. So here are my favourites: La Villa Strangiato Limelight Marathon Afterimage 2112: Soliloquy Grand Designs The Big Money Kid Gloves Between The Wheels The Analog Kid Bravado Bravado (extended jam/solo from the Counterparts tour date 4-29-1994) Natural Science (Hyperspace one) The Spirit Of Radio Witch Hunt (ASOH) Animate Everyday Glory Ahh, that's enough. It's a big list. There's a lot more great ones!

Gov
QUOTE (snowdog2112 @ Jul 2 2008, 10:12 PM) Losing It? Is that a joke? Oh, guitar solo....LOL I love the electric Violin solo, it rocks!
snowdog2112
Cool, I seriously wasn't trying to be a smartass but I assumed most people knew that it wasn't a guitar. The solo is still fantastic and it's too bad it's not Alex playing it. I guess I might as well contribute even though it changes all the time. For now I'll say The Big Money. robertjames1971
I like Analog Kid a lot but it seems to be more of an excuse to play fast than anything else. I am a big fan of Ghost of a Chance. I think his playing was just about perfect all the way through that one. Really tasteful and classy and cool all at once. But if I had to nail it to one answer it would probably be Soliloquy from 2112. That solo just leaps off the record and floors me every time.
