rushgoober
Ok, I'm not talking about what are your favorite films here, but what movies to you are just plain, well, COOL? I'm talking about a movie that makes you actually FEEL cooler while watching it and even for awhile afterwards - a movie just dripping with style and coolness. Here are two super obvious ones for me anyway:
rushgoober
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/rushgoober/matrix2.jpg No need to go into how much better this movie was than the sequels, as almost everyone agrees on that, but the first Matrix movie to me is just the essence of cool. Just an amazing mindf*ck every time I see it.
rushgoober
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/rushgoober/terminator2.jpg One of the best action movies, best science-fiction movies, and basically just one of the coolest movies ever made. I really like the first Terminator movie and the 3rd one is still pretty good, but this one blew them all away IMHO... rushgoober
Here's another one for me: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/rushgoober/almostfamous.jpg This movie just plain rocks in every way. Super cool.
rushgoober
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/rushgoober/highfidelity.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/rushgoober/schoolofrock.jpg Yes, both of these movies with Jack Black have a fair share of geekiness to them, but that doesn't bother me or lessen the coolness for me. Two more movies that remind me how much I love music.
rushgoober
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/rushgoober/realgenius.jpg I haven't seen this one in a few years, but I always thought this was one of the cooler movies ever made. Again, more than just a little geekiness is present, but that's cool with me.

JohnnyBlaze
Ok goobs, going to agree with you big time on Almost Famous But a big 'no' in regards to The Matrix. Yeah, everyone looked cool but that movie bored me. Tried watching it twice and fell asleep twice. I know I'm in the minority on this but that's how I roll. Because I'm cool. And though I liked T2, I wouldn't put it in the 'cool' category. Very entertaining movie though. T1...now THAT'S cool First cool movies that come to mind: -Leon...Jean Reno is -Lock, Stock, and 2 Smoking Barrels -The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys...nobody seems to know this movie but everyone should watch it -Layer Cake -Run Lola Run -Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon...this flick is oozing style & coolness

Again, more than just a little geekiness is present, but that's cool with me. Kent: You guys are just a bunch of degenerates. Chris: We are? What about that time I found you naked with that bowl of Jell-O? Kent: You did not! Chris: (to Mitch) This is true. Kent: It was hot and I was hungry. rushgoober
Alright, I gotta say it. It was cool when I was 8, and I still find it cool at 38: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/rushgoober/starwars.jpg
