Signals. Every album since then has had at least one duffer..

For an album to have only 1 iffy song on it is a great thing.

I'd be happy with a 7/8 good to bad song ratio myself.

Snakes and Arrows doesn't quite do it for me. I don't think it's as strong of an album as Power Windows, or Grace Under Pressure, or Hold Your Fire. It's definitely better than Test For Echo, Roll the Bones, or Counterparts (but anything is better than Counterparts.) I wouldn't say it's the "best album since" anything, but on equal or lesser status than the ones previously mentioned.

I picked Moving Pictures only because I had to pick one and that's their biggest seller to date. I think S&A is their unparallelled best work, I hope it sells more than Moving Pictures. S&A is now my co-favorite along with Caress of Steel. That was the seminal Rush album, and my introduction to the band. You never forget your first. wink.gif

Probably Power Windows after looking at this list.

Vapor Trails. I only like about half of SnA. The other half I would like to forget.

Ditto. There are some good tunes on S&A but the rest is a filler-fest.

Vapor Trails, questionable mixjob aside, is one of my favorite 2.gif albums smile.gif

Counterparts for me. T4E was OK and VT was absolutely terrible; their worst album.

no.gif

VT blows Test4Echo out of the water with a double-barrel shotgun.

But Counterparts is a great album.

TFE has more great material than VT/

Time and Motion alone kicks the ass of anything on VT.

To be fair, Time and Motion is probably my favorite song off Test For Echo.

Something about T4E just strikes me as incredibly bland.
