TheRocinanteKid
Great band. Saw them live earlier in the year and got the urge to get Argus on earlier today and while I was I was thinking I can't be the only Rush fan who thinks W.A. kick arse! So am I? If you don't know them I seriously recommend you pick up the album Argus or the double live album Timeline. Incredibly talented band.

clearingsky
I don't know it this is true but I have always given credit to Wishbone Ash as being the pioneers of the "twin lead" sound. Argus always makes my top 10 album list Phoenix(studio version) is always in the mix for my all-time favorite song
treeduck
No, sorry this is one band I never got into at all. And after reading this thread I watched a few Ash videos yesterday on youtube, including Throw down the Sword They're ok I suppose but still not my cup of tea... fritz44
I wasn't a huge fan, until my mate made my go and see them in '04. Now I've seen them 6 times! Always a good night. The Finnish lad on guitar (Muddy?) is top notch!
apetersvt
Heard 'Phoenix' on the Deep Tracks station on Sirius tonight. I was blown away. Never heard it before or any Wishbone Ash that I was aware of (obviously never made it on regular radio due to length). Promptly bought their debut album from amazon when I got home. beneathbetweenbehindyourmom
Yes! Wishbone Ash rules! The combination of Warrior > Throw Down the Sword is the most epic one-two punch in rock history. No one even comes close to thier style of dramatic melodic rock music. Your_Lion
Argus is a perfect album all the way through. Wishbone Ash (the album) and Pilgrimage are also great. There are actually two separate line-ups of Wishbone Ash that are still out there playing. The main one, lead by guitarist Andy Powell, and then there's Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash, with the original singer/bassist.I saw Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash live last year, and they put on a great show.
