Godeater2112
Maybe everyone is at a breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffets are awesome when you have a big group of insanely hungover people. Once at a softball tournament I mixed ketchup in with my big bowl of yogurt at breakfast (I am a renowned ketchup fanatic) and two people at my table barfed watching me eat it! But come on folks! Finish those croissants and tell us - HOW WAS THE SHOW?

telegraphcreeklocal
I just got home from the MGM Grand. The show was really good but I could tell they were tired, perhaps from roasting in Arizona then getting to LV. its 9 in the morning right now and I left LV at 3:30am! and after cruising around the Casino and tripping that they had piped flowing out of the casino music system. It was also a trip to see giant posters of in the Casino. I took some digi-cam and I also filmed a home movie after the show. The Irvine show was the rare special performance when they were right on and having a good time. Last night Peart was saying something to the front center people and I think he said, "You're late!", referring to a late air drum attempt by someone. Then he mouthed the lyrics to them as if to say get it right! you don't know the words...He looked pissed and Alex really looked like he was fed up with the grind. I saw three times in 130 hours. Hollywood Bowl, Irvine and Las Vegas. Perhaps since his family was there at Irvine and that they were being photographed for a special project, That particular performance outshined the others by a mile. Sign Of Eth
The Vegas show rocked. The band seemed really tight and full of energy. No glaring mistakes that I caught. I'm just now shaking off the cobwebs from a late night of Rush, beer and losing my shirt at the slots.

I just arrived in San Diego from Vegas. I was at Hollywood, Irvine and Vegas shows, and I agree that the Irvine show was the BEST!!! They had tons of energy, the performance was flawless, and the sound was fantastic!! Hollywood was great because there was over 17,000 people. What a mass of humanity. Vegas, they looked tired and to be going through the motions at times, but they still gave a great show that the fans loved!! The place was extremely LOUD!!! My ears are still ringing. I had as much fun meeting everyone from the boards. The hangouts were great in NYNY and MGM. More to come, I have to enjoy San Diego tonight and tomorrow before heading home Tuesday for the NorCal shows..

I made it back relatively unscathed, though I am a wee bit burnt. It was great meeting all the TRFrs. Everyone is as cool as I hoped. Good people. I agree with Midway, i was at the bowl, Irvine and Vegas. Irvine was definitely the best of the bunch. In Vegas, the band did seem a little tired and I too felt they were kind of going through the motions, but even when Rush goes through the motions, they still kicks ass! and thanks to Daveyt, I was front row center for Far Cry More details to come. Right now my head is gonna hit the pillow. Hard.
Rushman14
I also posted this in ASOH section so sorry about the double post. I finally arrived at the Apple Bar at 10pm for the friday night meetup. Right when I walked in a very loud band started. It was kind of hard to talk with the noise but I got to meet some very cool TRF folks. I chatted a bit with Midway who I met at the Bowl and Irvine. I think he's stalking me because he always seems to be sitting right behind me . Then I met Digital Man at the bar who commented on my VT shirt. Then I got to meet the legendary Ghost Girl who introduced me to Pedro (where's the sombrero?) and then got a chance to talk to 100100, Sullysue, Sundog, cygnusx1 and Rolinda Bonz, who bought me a cinammon martini I met some CP folks as well. It was really nice to meet everyone and put faces with the names. A great group of people and I was happy to be part of it! ....and then there was Saturday night.... In LV, Lifeson walked over to far stage right and looked down at one of the tour staff as if to say to him look at these lunatics. All of the people were pointing there cells at him and I really don't think he liked it at that point. They looked like they were going through the motions, well, except Geddy. He puts out major amounts of energy. That night was turning into the 29th his Birthday so I think he was jammin for sure. During MN, he walked over to my side C row B, and let that Pastorious rip, man. Who says he's old, Geddy kicks ass and thats that.
Tortoise and Hare
QUOTE (buster yyz @ Jul 29 2007, 06:16 PM) . . .Neil seemed a little pissed last night he dropped one of his drumsticks , then he picked it up and then threw down and snapped it other than that it was a great show.. we had front row seats!!!! Welcome to the Forum buster YYZ!!! Neil breaking his sticks is a common thing. When he plays, he plays HARD!!! When you hit cymbals with sticks you're hitting with the middle of the stick and this makes them splinter. He snaps them to get rid of the worn sticks. This is very common especially after his solo,. . . we've seen him snap the sticks before he takes his break. He does it with so much energy that it's sort of like a punctuation mark at the end of his work! He keeps a quiver of sticks by his side at all times. We've often wondered how many he goes through in a show. Please don't confuse his serious focus as being pissed. We've seen the show twice on the East Coast already and Neil has been the happiest we've seen him in years! It was sooooo good to see him smiling and joking around with the guys!
