barney_rebel
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/23657615/ You know my fondness for candidness. This picture tells a story. The subject is not staring at the camera but looking at the light source (sun) on her right side. What amazing composition and lighting.
Necromancer
I love this thread Barn. I had a couple small Fuji digitals and they both got scratched up on me, but while i had them, they did fine. Right now i'm using a standard film Rebel. I get all my prints developed on disc so i still have the option of only printing what i want out of a roll. I love the camera and can't wait to raise the cash for a digital rebel. I'm spoiled now. I don't think i want anything in between. I take a lot of my shots in the woods and the zoom lenses are better in my opinion with a slr type camera with interchangable lenses. I love that Deviant site you always link us to. As soon as i get a better connection, i'll join up there and post some of my shots. What started as just a way to document my children growing has turned into a major hobby. barney_rebel
Hey Necro - My camera is only a 3.2MP, 2x zoom camera. It's nothing special either. I do want a new one soon. If you are interested at all, join this site. Many of us are on there right now (D-13, RoR, LSM, Kyra just to name a few). I joined almost 4 years ago, but I've only been taking pictures for a little over a year. I've learned so much there in the past year - not just about photos, but drawing, poetry, digital art - you name it. Oh it's free to join too, but I am a paying member. Let me know if you are interested!
barney_rebel
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/23572064/ Nice and serene - amazing reflection and lighting. Way to centre the skyline right in the middle of the shot too. Oh yes, and the candidness of the model once again kicks major ass.

I have a side business i want to start and anything instructional would be a benefit to me. And even if the business thing doesn't get off the ground, there's no better time than taking and messing with my pictures. Thanks.

Dude - there is a photoshop tutor group there and you wouldn't believe the shit I've learned from them. Not a single photo I want to print or submit to my gallery gets there without Photoshop. There is also a book I recommend: http://www.digitalretouch.org/ Here is a thread of interest too: http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?act=ST&f=3&t=3209
Barney's Alter
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/25049372/ Awesome piece - who says you can't take pictures looking at the sun? The way he shaded it created an awesome lighting effect. Through the camera eye.
Barney's Alter
http://www.deviantart.com/print/226818/ Amazing composition. What a sweetheart too. No glare from the reflection off the gun - perfect lighting here.
barney_rebel
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/22820335/ What makes this wing stand out? No reflect from the glass, perfect composition and amazing level adjustments to bring out the sky. The simplest, most over-used photo can still be presented in a different way. Be creative.
