Necromancer
I saw them open for Tool on the Lateralus tour. I thought they sucked big time. Sorry.
steelcaressed
Noise. Interesting time signatures. It's still just a lot of noise.
treeduck
Not heard them properly, I've heard good things about them but what I heard didn't impress me. I think they used that drum machine that Devin Townsend used on Ziltoid on their last album. I'm not sure that's a good idea for a band using a drum machine, Devin used it because it was just him doing everything on the album.
vaportrail
Love them. Along with Opeth and Katatonia, that whole Scandinavian metal scene is great thanks to those guys.
Mustard Death
I used to have two songs by them...one was New Millenium Cyanide Christ, the other one was something about War or something.... neither of them impressed me.
Roddy
Have a couple of their albums. I totally respect them, they are incredibly good at what they do. Haake is a machine. Astounding skill. But their music itself is just way too cold and calculating for me. No melody whatsoever. Can't handle such a total avoidance of melody in the Metal, no matter how amazing they are. Check out a band called 'Mnemic'. Sort of a melodic, 'massive soaring chorus' version of Meshuggah. Just as good musicians, but far catchier.... Rod in Toronto
I've seen them live once from VERY close. Impressive playing and time signatures, but just too much noise for me to handle.
