-D-RocK-
Now THAT'S how you put together a "best of" list! Great article! Thank for posting.
OBaterista!
dixie chicks #43? They are a rock band? this makes me think less of this list. It is pretty sweet to see rush up there in the rankings though. They will never be fully appreciated by any critic though.
snowdog987
In my 28 years of listening to Rush the one thing that has frightened me the most is that the critics would embrace them. Always felt that would be the kiss of death.
KenJennings
Jimi Hendrix has a higher Technical ability than Rush? Laughable.
BruceMcc
Great list, thank you for sharing. Although IMHO, Rush should have scored much higher in innovation. U2 scored higher for innovation? WTF? Can't agree with that.

In fact I'm a big U2 fan Perhaps not as much as others, but I've got three U2 albums: -Joshua Tree - which I named one of my ten favourite albums in another thread -Unforgettable Fire -War I've also got the Rattle & Hum DVD (which btw, is excellent) It's just that in my opinion, Rush's varations with music should have scored them higher in this particular category. I was only joking I think I agree with you I too rate joshua tree highly, the songwriting is second to none, it has great songwriting and emotion, but for innovation mmm the Edge does use delay I suppose , rush outstrip em and maybe on snakes and arrows too. spacerock anyone????!!!?? GeddyLeeFender
Metallica? higher than Rush?....Uhhh no. Though it is good to see that this guy thinks that Rush can take Led Zeppelin on in Technical Ability which is very much true.

GotRush
some irregularities Doors have more sales than Rush ? Rush too low on Consistency too low on "songs" Good List, good way to rate a Band.
Weakly Criminal
Plenty to disagree with there, but over all the best list of that type I've seen! Which aint sayin' much.
jsantab428
These lists are all pointless. There are two criteria that matter. Rocks. or Fails to Rock. And these are perceptions of each individual. Either you, as an individual, think something Rocks, or it Fails to Rock. For me, Rush, among many other bands it would be pointless to mention here, Rocks. I noted that too. How could STP even rate any score for longevity and live performance? As I recall, they cancelled most of their tours.
