USB Connector Posted May 25, 2012 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Battles are too chaotic for my laptop at the end of act 1 on Diablo, so I have to put the game on the shelf until my computer dies and I have to get a new one. 2+ years is a lot of dust. So I picked up Rocksmith and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Aside from the boss battles (which are incredibly frustrating) the game is absolutely amazing. Some people say the plot is hard to follow but a lot of it is explained in emails you find by hacking computers. If it weren't for those boss battles I would say the game is pretty much perfect. Rocksmith on the other hand, feels downright condescending. I want to learn the full versions of the songs on disc, but first I have to play them all dumbed down to a fraction of the notes played on two strings. So aside from having to endure through the mostly terrible soundtrack, I have to play knowingly wrong notes. This thing does not teach guitar for s**t. It does not teach you scales, proper posture or how to hold the guitar correctly/how to position your hand on the fretboard. It just tells you to tune your guitar, how to hold a pick and throws you into the game. It's not that different from rock band (except the song menu is a pain to navigate on Rocksmith). It's a great idea, but poorly executed with a crap soundtrack. Good thing I got it for cheap. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
