There was a 4.7 Earthquake in the Bay Area. We live about a hour and a half away from the epicenter, but I felt it clearly. Julie slept through it.

Fun?!

When it does no damage, anywhere, yeah! They're fun!

I see. We get quite a lot of earthquakes out here too. I think I'm more of a LIGHTNING/THUNDERSTORM guy. cool.gif

I've been through two I think. I was on a bus during one and didn't notice it. The second one I was alone in the basement of my house and thought it was just an overly large transport truck driving by. My parents called me the next day when they saw it on the news and asked if I felt it.

There was nothing that happened in downtown SF, was there? That's where my brother lives!

No. It was centered in San Martin, CA. Figure about 60-70 miles from Downtown S.F.

Bugger. We had a tremor here once about 3 years ago. I have never been so scared in my life. I grabbed the kids and stood in the middle of the garden. Panic was definitely on the cards sad.gif

Damn, I slept right through it. I enjoy the ones that don't do damage. That's right about the time I get up for work too.

Apparently, New England gets them all the time but there is no fault line to mess us up....I've never really felt anything. Glad everything's ok.

I've been in Southern California for about 10 years and have felt a few, none of which were really damaging.

I think they're fun too! yes.gif
