softfilter
I don't know if they were fans or not, but that novelty band Crash Test Dummies (mmm, mmm goofy song) On there tour bus they use to quiz each other try to name all the RUSH albums in chronological order. And on MUSICinTheABsTrACT list Eddie VanHalen(in doubt) may be true and old article in Circus magazine David Lee Roth stated that Alex use to play Permanent Waves constantly on his boom box back stage before a concert and how much he hated hearing it. So perhaps Eddie is (was) a fan also. Another side note about Eddie awhile back I remember him saying that Van Halen and RUSH have the same manager? Evelate
Mic Todd, Josh Eppard, and Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambria. The developers of World of Warcraft. I don't know if they're "famous" but they sure made one hell of a game! (Mentions rush in the credits and has many references to Rush songs throughout the game.) softfilter
QUOTE (wmsb72673 @ Apr 1 2006, 09:06 AM) I GOT DRAGGED TO A POISON CONCERT YEARS AGO. THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE SHOW WAS C.C. DEVILLE PLAYING THE INTRO TO A FAREWEEL TO KINGS. I remember a concert review in local music mag of Poison saying they did a very sloppy version of La Villa Strangiato. Flea from the Chili Peppers in a Rolling Stone interview was asked about his high school years and said, As close as he got to high school was the school parking lot smoking pot and listening to RUSH Hemispheres on 8 track with his buddies. Mustard Death
One of the Maroon 5 () band members was wearing a Power Windows shirt during their episode of MTV Cribs () Also, Coheed and Cambria have a song called 2113. While the song has nothing to do with Rush, I'd guess that they were fans. The bassist of an underground hardcore band, Sadaharu, I saw last night had a Rush sticker on his case. I yelled "RUSH!! YEAH!!!!" to him as he was walking off the stage, he laughed and was like "Yeah man!". Good stuff.

Test4VitalSigns
The Toronto Star paper interviewed Blue Jays' catcher Greg Zaun and he said this when asked about his current musical taste... "Predominantly hard rock. Right now, this year, I'm listening to a lot of Rush and Jefferson Starship/Airplane old stuff. I met (Rush's) Geddy Lee the other night. We were over at Barberian's Steak House and he was having dinner with Randy Johnson and I'd told the waiter how much of a fan I was and, sure enough, here he comes. I'd been trying to get his attention for two years. I've been waving at him. He sits behind home plate a lot." http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentSe...93064&t=TS_Home
