Here's a new one about my old crappy Jeep about 10 years ago:

Del Duio sings- "Four Banger"

It's not as complicated as the other ones but I like the lyrics. All of that stuff except for 2 lines really happened. I guess you'll have to decide for yourself which is which. laugh.gif

Just did this piece for a school project, it's on my Myspace page as Convolution. Kind of a crappy mix, but I was a little rushed.

That's cool! That drum pattern that comes in at 0:18 is really messed up. And I like that. yes.gif

Thanks! I love programming drum patterns. Probably should've thrown in a couple of fills here and there though.

If you ever wondered how a Rush influence sounds in a film cue, take a listen:

The first part had me imagining a high-tech heist scene of some kind, and the heavy part an escape scene. That heavy part sounds very weird, but of course I mean that as a high compliment -- weird in a most excellent badass way!

Your stuff is so good it's not even funny.

Thanks man! I imagine it as a scene as a meeting that goes wrong. Guys pull up to meet other guys. They are wearing suits and sunglasses and all hell breaks loose. A shootout that ends with a James Bond guy driving off with ease. lol

Awesome song, and I LOVE the sound of those drums.

Agreed. This song has such a cool vibe going on. Love how all the chords fade in during the verses, and the chord progressions are really interesting. The singer has a nice voice, too. Real unique stuff going on here.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't point out the "Animate"-like vibe in the drum part. wink.gif

Wow.I did not expect such a quick and positive response.Thank you. This was recorded in 1993.That's me on the drums. I'll upload a few more tunes from the same session.

I think the drums sound great too.Believe it or not I was playing aTama Swingstar with a cheap remo piccolo snare. The engineer sure knows his stuff. wink.gif

Yep, another winner. I love it when a chord change perks my ears up and I go and rewind it to hear it again, and that happened a few times in this song.

Your drum pattern during the verses is really cool. Another thing that perked up my ears.

The singer has a unique voice in that it sounds like she's barely pushing the words out, but it fits the music perfectly. In fact, all of you show a nice level of restraint in your playing.

And...When Marsupials Joust is a cool name for a band. laugh.gif

Here's an instrumental my band just did live a few weeks ago. I had to slow the framerate down and go B/W on this one, but the sound guy has an overhead "drum cam" now, kinda the same angle as N. Peart has on him so you can see what he's playing from his perspective.

Anyway, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cesYTFWESDg

Listening now as I work. "Daemon" is downright dissonant, which pleases me. biggrin.gif
