Snowman
My band, Winterstrain, will soon release our 2Nd release, Shifting Sands. We have put out a medley of all songs on Myspace. It is only 3:50 long but you should get the drift on what kind of music we make. There are also 3 full version songs from our 1St release. Thorne
May as well drop a random shameless plug in here while I'm sat here at the PC doing rather a lot of nothing at all. My band, Thorne, are releasing their debut album in January, and after a few mishaps and careless losing of drummers (yes, we checked behind the fridge and down the back of the sofa, no drummers there, if you know anyone, let us know!) we're slowly on the road to getting things the way we want. Our website is at www.thornemusic.co.uk, and has plenty of random waffle, a few audio previews, and some barely tolerable HTML coding by myself. Any listens would be much appreciated! the masked drummer
Alright, Here's my first shameless plug of 2009. I've got a gig tomorrow with my rock-metal progressive band Mindrought and it's looking like a nice crowd coming. It's at a new club called "Blondie's" in Detroit at 2281 W Fort Street near the bridge to Canada. $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Doors open at 8pm, Mindrought is headliner. (going on late, after midnight) I'm using my new LED drum lighting for the first time tomorrow. I'll shoot some video and post it. Have a great weekend everyone! Show Don't Tell
This is a song I was working on back in October. It's called "Thoughts And Words". The mix needs a bit of work, and so far there is no vocal track (I haven't even wrote lyrics yet!). I'm pleased with the current progress, though. Opinions are welcome. http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u195/Number-4/Icons/winamp.gif Thoughts_And_Words.mp3

Brooks
hey, new guy here. my original band generic hustle does a mix of jazz/funk/ska with a few metal riffs thrown in. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v63/brooks/GHcd.jpg we formed in 2004, wrote/recorded/gigged, got a little airplay on XM radio's "beyond jazz", & moved maybe a few hundred cd's (we are all in our late 30's/early 40's and have dayjobs, so the world tour ain't gonna happen, ha). we're on hiatus right now, as some of the guys had kids last year, and i'm trying to whip my RUSH tribute into shape (inbetween my weekend acoustic cover gigs and teaching a few guitar lessons). http://myspace.com/generichustle http://itunes.com/generichustle ps - the last tune on the cd has a middle section inspired by "by-tor & the snowdog". really. Brooks
Last year I played a solo on my pal Gil's new cd. I did 4 or 5 takes on "Harder" (w/ my duotone & axe-fx), which Gil then digitally sliced and diced then comped a solo together. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/gilbertneal3 Album Notes: This is Gilbert Neal's third album on Fightin' Fool records. He continues his winning ways with a deft combination of soul, pop, ballads and life stories. Music for intelligent people who demand more from their recording artists, and Neal delivers again and again. Neal has performed on NPR and many other local radio broadcasts. This collection features the amazing musicianship listeners have come to enjoy from Neal and his recording team, including Steve Camilleri, Darrell Nutt, Brooks Kaplan, and many more. NOW ON ITUNES; http://itunes.com/gilbertneal , "harder"
invisibleairwaves
Decided to throw a rough musical sketch up on myspace just for the hell of it. This is something I did on the workstation keyboards at school; I'm working on taking some of the parts and putting them into together into a full song with drums, bass, guitar, and maybe even vocals. http://www.myspace.com/micronmusic It's kind of ambient right now; it'll have more of a rock feel when it's done. Jake2112
I've been a band for about a year and we've played about 12 shows, listen to the bottom four songs on the page, the top two are just demos. All the songs were written by me, I'm the vocalist and guitarist. www.myspace.com/nexusofacrisis
