Segue Myles Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Rush- Moving Pictures Still absolutely sublime to my ears. No matter how often I play it, it still feels fresh and sounds exciting. 6
Segue Myles Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Fleetwood Mac- Rumours Dan Fogelberg- Phoenix Two exceptional albums. f***ing love both and I personally think Fogelberg should be one of the most enduring popular singers in the history of the universe. 2
bluefox4000 Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Sparks-Whomp that sucker. This band (well duo) fascinates me. they went through so many phases. this is more the start of their new wave phase. and the harmonies kind of remind me of a demented Queen, lol Mick 1
Segue Myles Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Copeland- In Motion Copeland- Eat, Sleep, Repeat I love this band so much. They are very much Jimmy Eat Worlds heart on sleeve with the indie sheen of Death Cab For Cutie...and so much more. I love them beyond words are this point.
Segue Myles Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Alter Bridge- Pawns And Kings Very similar to The Last Hero, I love this album. 1
Leanne Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Jack White - No Name. So far this is my album of the year
Segue Myles Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Mariah Carey- Music Box The greatest singer of all time.
Segue Myles Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Dan Fogelberg- Nether Lands I rarely play this album. I really like it, but it's one of my lesser favourites of his classic period.
Segue Myles Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Bruce Springsteen- Western Stars A late career masterpiece, I think this album shines as brightly as his classics. 2
Segue Myles Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Bruce Springsteen- Letter To You A beautiful, soulful album. It came out shortly after Western Stars, but I find the two albums markedly different. LTY rocks harder, for one. 1
Segue Myles Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Mastodon- Hushed And Grim Exquisite album. The more I sit with it the more I consider the possibility it might be equal to their early works, Remission through Crack The Skye. 1

And yet, I had a great time with this! I wish every band I love had an album this great at the bottom of my list. Thats sort of how I feel about Pawns & Kings. Nothing really stands out to me like some tracks do in Walk the Sky 1

But...I can honestly say I feel the album shows a band coasting...in top shape
Segue Myles Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Tremonti- All I Was The first Tremonti album is a bloody great time! At this point, I think Tremonti is grossly underrated. Better than Alter Bridge at times, I also find I prefer Mark's voice to Myles.
