Taylor Swift- Speak Now (Taylor's Version)

Wow. The production leans heavier into the albums rock side, which is what I wanted. What I didn't expect was for the deeper, richer vocals.

EP, this is for you (both links):

I’ll bite, but for the record it’s only because of that one time you sent me a Swift video that I actually liked.

Mick

I totally understand him though, I've had my issues with superstars before. Then I take a deep dive and find myself thinking OHHHHHHHH

Also, Taylor rewards listeners on her albums. Yes, you have Shake It Off. But erm...Wildest Dreams exists.

Me! Eew. But then you get Soon You'll Get Better.

We Are Never, Ever, Ever? Shares album space with State Of Grace.

Taylor Swift- 1989

It's odd how when this album came out I thought it lacked something. It was HUGE but I sorta felt it was...strange really.

Now? I recognise its influence all over modern pop. This is a GREAT pop album. I'd also say this is where her voice grew out of her teen voice.

Also, All You Had To Do Was Stay should have been a single. Its got a shimmering nineties pop vibe.

Taylor Swift-1989 (8/10)

this was my first swift album in 2014 when it was new.  At the time it was the Perfect intro.  Nowadays.  opposite of Segue i don't thing it's aged the best.

It's like her Born in the USA...very calculated album.....targeted to be a pop smash (it was, lol)  but also Like BITUSA. hooks are often one phrase repeated till your old and grey or you hit skip.

Don't get me wrong it was a needed album i think and i like it BUT for better or worse she turned a corner i often do not enjoy as much.

Yeah it's a pretty cool album, but the new one Mirror to the Sky is even better.

Oh I thought this was the latest!

Okay I may have to try it, I played a single not all that long ago. Sounded very promising

The Quest was released in 2021 so it's still fairly new but the latest one came out a few weeks ago.

it may be me just over blowing it (and i don't care, lol)

but it's in my top 5 projects he's been involved in all time.

This album is comforting i's fun it's tuneful.  Everything you'd want Luke to possibly do he did on Bridges.

i even love the blues numbers here.  In the past i've said luke doing blues is usually a no-no for me, lol
