The new Dua Lipa album felt...state of the art but somehow, lifeless?

I can see where you’re coming from. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but i like it for what it is.

I think I prefer her last album, I'm finding this one lacks something.

I definitely prefer Future Nostalgia. This one just doesn’t feel as fresh or exciting. It has some good songs, it just doesn’t wow me like Future Nostalgia did.

I do love the sound of the bass throughout the record. It has great mixing as well.

Dua Lipa- Radical Optimism

Rhapsody- Power Of The Dragonflame

New Dua Lipa is brilliant. Does it reach the heights of her previous work. Not entirely, but it has much of merit. Notably beautiful production and the glow of the album is seamless. Not her most memorable songs.

I’m a bassist, and I agree. The basslines on Future Nostalgia are what made me a fan of hers in the first place

I've played the new album a few times. It has great flow, great ideas, it's just the songs are a little less than what she has done before.

Still, in many ways this is a smart maturation of her sound, and I think she still has potential to grow even more

Pearl Jam- Dark Matter

The more I listen the more I love. So far my album of the year by a wide margin.

Taylor Swift- The Tortured Poets Department

I love this album. It's doing really well for such a risky direction. There are times where it sounds gleefully anti-commercial, and I applaud her for that.

Descendents - Milo Goes To College

Willow is amazing. Been saying that for years.

Descendents...BITCH THAT ALBUM IS THE SHIZNIT.

It's 42 years old and still speaks to teens today.

Taylor Swift-Tortured Poets Department (10/10)

the score is for the proper album.  the most negative thing i'll say is i generally don't like the bonus tracks much at all.  this is the closet she came to a throw away disc for me.

the proper album........may be my fav album she's done.  While i don't think it's her best.  it IS my fav.  ,mature.  classy. layered.  it's all a home run for me.

The negative reviews i've seen say this album's too same-y.  yet i don't think she was aim-ing for bop-y commercial. these people don't seem to be looking for an album i think.  they want bops they can pick and choose from.  if that's all you want look elsewhere.

True S tier album for me.

Mick
