Well, I can name a dozen bands that offer a sound and sensibility similar to Thin Lizzy. I can't say that in regards to ABBA. Their sound and song structure is fairly unique.

my Fav track is Waiting for An Alibi ... love both the twin harmonised

guitar attack & the story of the lyrics.

This subject matter ( gambling ) was revisited again on

Cold Sweat , my Fav track from ‘83s Thunder & Lightning

( well that & the title track ! )

 

With the recent frightening events occurring in Ukraine

caused by Putin’s Russia

all this week I’ve had the lyrics to TL’s

‘ Angel of Death ‘ ( from the ‘81 Renegade album )

frequently flash through my mind.

Excellent song even if at the moment it’s rather unsettling !
