RushFanForever
I discovered "Gallows Pole" when Page & Plant performed it on No Quarter: Unledded before hearing the original version on Led Zeppelin III. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSZca1Q9IWA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muGN_1N_ykI

goose
Album of the day on Rhino.com for that same reason. Out On The Tiles is an underrated deep track.A Bonzo-inspired track! All in all, Zep III is a great album with a tremendous variety of music. Their weirdest album, but one of my favs.
zepphead
It was a big change in direction from I and II and divided a lot of people. Personally I love some of the more folk/acoustic based tracks and it represented a big turning point in their career in my opinion. Some great songs, development in style and a truly iconic sleeve all lead to a memorable album.
custom55
A buddy of mine didn't like LZ until he heard LZIII. It woke up his ears to this band.

chemistry1973
Immigrant Song always feels like it’s so fast. But listening now - it’s got a killer mid tempo groove. It’s f***ing danceable. It’s that kick drum that gives the illusion of speed.
RushFanForever
I like the live medley of "Beck's Bolero" and "Immigrant Song" that Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page performed together at the 2009 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laXXXJ_1dHQ Edited October 7, 2020 by RushFanForever
