A good mix tape probably has contrast styles and pacing, so I'd likely blend something like AFTK with Power Windows. Of course a fine Permanent Waves pairs well with anything.

I'll grant you p/g is a lot more guitar based than people give it credit for, but I can't think of many more jarring juxtapositions than the Andy Summers-isms of p/g paired with the sheer heaviness and metallic edge of VT guitars.

Never been a big fan of it personally, but I get why people love it.

Back in the days when people burned CDs, Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures fit back-to-back on a single CD in their entireties. That was what I used to give people to get started with the band.

It's fine. It doesn't compare to most of his other solos for me. I've just never been a big fan of most of Roll The Bones in general.
