I remember it like it was yesterday. My brother and I were working on a brick laying crew in the dead of a Maryland winter when I heard the news on the radio. I was fortunate however to see them in all their glory the previous October with Pat Travers Band opening. I will never forget that show. I saw them twice after that but it was never the same....RIP Edited by Narps

quite the manly tombstone!

It's not his tombstone. It's a memorial plaque located in Kirriemuir, Scotland, his birthplace. I took that pic on a vacation in 2008. Me and a friend were on a hiking tour through the Scottish Highlands and I had the idea to visit the place.

I love every Bon Scott AC/DC album.

Little Lover has been going through my head lately. Out of nowhere all of a sudden I'm saying to myself, "Next to Gary Glitter...". Lol

Cool interview from 1977. Bon mentions they go on tour with Kiss and Rush.

Bon:...the guy, what's his name, tell me the bass players name from Kiss...

Interviewer: I don't know.

Bon: Karl, tell me the bass players name from Kiss, he's a popular guy... LOL

Wow. For once I can actually hear how a great singer's speaking voice makes sense with their singing voice. It's high! Also dang, Bon just had the most even-keeled outlook. He saw through a lot of what the interviewer seemed concerned about. Singles? Nobody in our band cares about those. We're an album and touring group. Touring is everything. Dude had his head on right about rock and roll. Still a shame he passed the way he did.
