  1. 1. Would you give up Limelight for a more fan interactive Peart?

    • No, it's a top five song for me.
    • No, Neil's hang up about fans makes him more endearing to me.
    • Yes, I'd love to tell Neil how much his talents mean to me at a pre-show meet and greet.
    • Yes, I'd like to give Neil my unique take while seeing him at a gas station, grocery store, pub or art gallery.

    • Yes, I'd like to be a Neil Peart groupie that gives him pubic lice. He'd never forget me!
    • I'd like a Neil Peart hologram.

Hmmm...which is worse, scurvy or stubbed toes?

I think we all know the answer to that.

limes > Simon&Garfunkel

Simon&Garfunkel > Kenny Loggins

I gave up on Limelight years ago and I didn't need any incentive to do it. Sounds one-dimensional and dated to me

I know it's Alex's favorite solo and all but I can probably name 20 that I enjoy more pretty easily.

If Neil was more fan-friendly, I think his lyrics would have never been so meaningful and wise, and Rush would be just another rock band singing about sex and drugs. Also, after all the stuff that happened to him after Test For Echo would have fully ended his career if he wasn't so open to bettering himself and finding solace in solitude. Then I never would have even known words like "solace" and "solitude", as Rush lyrics have provided me with my common vocabulary.

Leave my Alex alone.

Besides, I just heard a thud. I think you have a winner in your JC drinking game finally.

I sat upon porcelain pondering the masterpiece Moving Pictures which includes the five star song Limelight. Would you give that song up for a more normal interactive Neil Peart?

When it comes to Rush I never try to mold a new reality.

hope everything came out ok btw :P

Nice one! Always loved the lyric in that. So spot on.

The comments in this thread about bashing Neil are unfounded. I see no Neil bashing in the premise of this poll or the options. And I should know, I'm usually the sap that goes to bat for him!

Neil is the man. A real enigma among rock drummers. Well spoken, introverted.. he's a f***in bad ass for writing Ayn rand inspired lyrics in 1976.
