Lorraine
Another thing that's been bothering me. RUSH is NOT DEAD. They've only toned down the touring bit in order for their respective physiologies to 'rest up' a little. Alex's arthritis, Neil's complete and tiring devotion to excellence on the drums, Geddy's fingers needing flesh on them in order to perform. I'm amazed they've been able to be so PERFECT for so long....Rolling Stones play their type of music excellently, but it is in NO WAY as demanding as Progressive Rock. I respect him in his own right, but I think Charlie Watts would be dead by now if he drummed [like Neil has] since his youth in the early sixties. I think Neil mentioned Charlie and his drumming style in the latest Documentary. (I have to watch that a few more times)But DEAD? I don't THINK so......http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Banana%20World/banana-pink.gif ORFie, what do you mean by "Geddy's fingers needing flesh on them in order to perform"? If I remember correctly, Neil made a reference to Charlie Watts in the R40 documentary. Something to the effect that if his Rush drum parts were as unchallenging as the ones Charlie plays, he could keep going on. A guy that works at that Coney Island I go to all the time liked my RUSH A Farewell To Kings T-shirt, and we started talking about the documantary, and he reminded me of Neil's Bursitis in his shoulders also.....http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Banana%20World/Wonka%20Banana.gif

I seriously doubt it. Anything is possible but I guess I'm OK with them being retired. I would rather them go out on a high note than hang around and go downhill. I guess 'going out on top' is preferable by a lot of people, but as far as my perceptions determined, not all of them just out and out 'hung up the smock'. Especially Geddy.http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Banana%20World/Minion%20banana.gif
