  1. I only did buy one, and it was the '77 self-titled Got em both.
  2. "Anti-Cheap Trick thread"? Them's fighting words, bub!
  3. While these guys possess some originality and talent, I've never been a fan.
  4. ISOLATION!! How do you feel about Mr Mister? They've got some rocking stuff. "Kyrie Eleison" delivers the goods.
  5. I have a confession: I own pretty much all the *official* Dream Theater releases...but I haven't yet heard all of The Astonishing. IMO, Kilroy wasn't as bad as some of the critics panned it...but it was nowhere near the pinnacle of Styx greatness.
  6. Keep up the art! Up with artists!
  7. Boy, this thread deviated from the norm. Oh, and Toto rules. Suck it, OP!
  8. Today, Dream Theater comes closest to the Rush vibe IMO.
  9. I went with Rock.
  10. Seriously, the only rap I come close to enjoying is the hybridized rap/metal fusion of XL & Death Before Dishonor (DBD). Good stuff, Maynard.
  11. Kanye's lame He ain't got game For global warming He I blame Cracks open his humongo pie-hole (Oh no no no) There the icecaps go Yo yo yo yo yo...
  12. Just ordered Styx's Edge of the Century, Cyclorama, and Brave New World. Of all the aforementioned bands, they get my immediate $. Where I grew up, back in the Quad-Cities area along the Mississippi River, Styx was accorded "musical god" status, and it's not coincidental that I have enjoyed them all my days.
  13. Styx Journey REO Foreigner
  14. No contest. The diversity of Alex's shredding blows away that of Mr. "No Bozos" in a landslide.
  15. The judge says "nay"! Hey hey mama!!
  16. Erin Healy- Afloat
  17. Signals p/g Moving Pictures Power Windows After that, things get a bit...murky.
  18. Not much today.
  19. Toto, The Monkees, and Cheap Trick these days. Getting geeked for Anderson/Stolt, The Union of Sinners and Saints, and the new Switchfoot.
  20. Agreed. It's very rare for me to listen to an album start-to-stop...but Thrice's TBEITBN was an exception. It melted my face and made my ears bleed.
  21. 10 Cloverfield Lane. Loved it.
  22. Midnight Oil- Beds Are Burning. God bless Peter Garrett.
