  1. Have to go with Queen in the 70s and Rush in the 80s. To me, that's a no-brainer.
  2. I finally got around to watching TSS this morning. Yeah, I'm a slacker. I really enjoyed the stories of the Argentinian and Scottish fans. This personal touch of how Rush's music affects the individual hits you square in the heart.
  3. 1970s. 1960s and 1980s tie for second. The sheer level of playability, the emergence of finer production, and the angst of the age surfaced better in this decade than in any other IMO.
  4. Kansas. If the Styx album were Pieces of Eight, then the vote would be that much harder for me. (Grand Illusion is my second-favorite Styx album.)
  5. The Invitation. Uber-creepy. On Netflix.
  6. Stephen King's Silver Bullet. A blast from the past!
  7. A while back, I accompanied my dad to this Saturday seminar thing in a city an hour from home. There, I met a Rush fan...we didn't have much time to chat, but he was pretty cool.
  8. At work today I ran into a customer sporting a Clockwork Angels tour jersey. We chatted for a few, where I shared my love for Rush. It was a cool moment.
  9. 11/22/63 on Hulu. Loving it. Stephen King and JJ Abrams together!!
  10. While at the dentist for my semiannual checkup, I requested the hygienist play Rush over their Pandora. Before I knew it, "Subdivisions" and "Tom Sawyer" were rocking the Casbah.
  11. Which do you like more and why? lions vs tigers Tigers because lions are either lazy bastards who eventually get beaten up by another lion and kicked out of the pride (males) or they have to do all the work (females) while the lazy bastard just lies around. Tigers stalk their prey alone and they don't need any help. That's because lions are kings of the frigging jungle. They know how to delegate. ;)
  12. Yes. :laughing guy: good answer. Mick It bears repetition: choosing between May and Lifeson is akin to choosing which brother I love more. Therefore, the diplomatic solution comes into play. :D
  13. Ged Roger Waters John Deacon Steve Harris Chris Squire
  14. p/g and Signals still rule the roost for me, with Moving Pictures, Power Windows, and Permanent Waves factoring in mightily. Rush started to lose me a bit around the Presto era. Still good stuff IMO, but not earthshaking like the albums I first mentioned.
  15. I just ordered a boatload of Floyd. Bell, Lapse, Final, Pulse,Shine, River...I'm so there.
