Thomas Lang is an amazing drummer, i'm really excited about hearing his lyrics to the next Rush album!!

I wonder if Geddy or Alex have any kind of communication now with Neil, a friendly email or phone call, have they even met up since the last show? Probably not me thinks and it's unlikely we'll find out I guess! And what about all the band equipment, Neil won't need his drums anymore now, think of those storage fees!

I love the bass on Tai Shan, great tone from his Wal! Saying that I can't think of anything else positive about it!

No I couldn't agree more, his Fender in the early days sounded great, a Jazz with balls, it's what happened to its tone progressively over the later years that i'm talking about!

Not sure he was ever rated as a drummer, he's just an average drummer!

Yeah but his Ricky's sounded like a genuine Ricky was supposed to, that's the whole point in using a particular instrument for the tone it has whereas his Fender Jazz which started off sounding like a great Fender with some growl now sounds like..........er, I don't know what, dogshit maybe!!!

I believe i'm correct in saying that if Geddy and Alex carried on using the Rush name or went out on the road without Neil that every time they played a Rush tune then Neil would get paid his share?

I don't understand why Neil doesn't just put out a statement confirming that he's officially retired if that is indeed the case rather than just a few soundbites which seem to wind everybody up including his band mates! Surely somebody must know the real truth of what's going on?

Don't like the look, the feel or the tone! So many better instruments out there!

Interesting to see Roger Waters chosen a few times here considering that it was Dave Gilmour who actually played most of the bass parts for PF! Just sayin!

His tone is so processed now that all his Fenders sound almost identical including the fretless Jaco Jazz bass he used a while back! His black no1 sounded great on Counterparts but he got carried away with the boxes after TFE!

G3 with Satriani, Vai and Govan this Summer in Europe! Awesome!

Exactly and they are fantastic basses, I own two myself and wouldn't play anything else! Check out Flea's tone on Blood Sugar Sex Magic and then tell me it sounds farty! Eagle Moon obviously has a dislike for these instruments and has constantly ran them down but that's one persons opinion and means little! Plenty of love around for Geddy's tone with them and for these superb basses in general!
