1. I didn't realize it had been 2 years already, it's seems like yesterday. RIP Ronnie!
2. QUOTE (Lost In Xanadu @ May 14 2012, 08:24 AM) Interesting season finale. Kinda like I thought it was gonna end, with a little twist thrown in there for good measure. I have watched from the beginning and the ending seemed like they tried to wrap everything up, until the very end as said above. I know it's been renewed so it will be interesting to see where this goes.
3. QUOTE (ghostworks @ May 15 2012, 07:09 AM) QUOTE (nobodys hero @ May 14 2012, 08:59 AM) ...I know you cannot see every illness someone has, but I'm nosy enough to ask those around me their ailment... wow, that behavior is about as hostile and disrespectful as it gets Nah, not meant to offend. When you are sitting with others like yourself (or supposed to be like you) it's real easy to get into a conversation about how hard it was to get a seat, a parking spot, what you go through on a daily basis just to survive. When you blatantly have people next to you or around you bragging about how they got these great seats by lying, it's pretty upsetting! I talk to just about anybody while waiting for a show to set up and I've had many folks ask about my disability and what I go through. It's kind of like sharing war stories.
4. QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ May 14 2012, 06:50 AM) QUOTE (kkb2323 @ May 14 2012, 02:34 AM) With people like you the truly wheel chair, deaf and visual impaired don't have a chance of getting seats they legally qualify for. I'm all in favor of people who are confined to a wheelchair getting the seats that are reserved for them at concerts, but why on earth would somebody who was deaf or visually impaired go to a rock show? Like the other poster said it's more than likely not other Rush fans who are doing this but scalpers instead. It certainly sounds like a trick some of them would pull in order to get some extra money off tickets. Believe it or not the venues are required by ADA laws to provide an interpreter for those that are deaf. I suppose for those folks the visual aspect must be worth it to them.
5. I travel with someone who is visually impaired due to diabetes. He can still see but it has to be up close and then it's not as dialed in as you and I would see a face, a hand playing a guitar etc. I would be really sad if he chose not to go to a show because he could only see a little. I know for a fact these seats are claimed by those who don't need them as I am handi-capped and it's pretty sad to see folks who got the seats and there is nothing wrong with them. Now I know you cannot see every illness someone has, but I'm nosy enough to ask those around me their ailment and the biggest reply I get (especially at Red Rocks) is nothing wrong, I know I can get a good seat this way! This pisses me off for the real ADA people who are in row 70 (the last row at this venue) while able bodied people are in row 1&2. Even if you are 10 rows back and you are healthy, you are in a much better position than those in the first few rows who would gladly trade you their seat for your health!
6. SoR, Freewill, Tom Saywer, Red Barchetta, Limelight. Subdivisions. Yeah, I know that's more than 1 It would nice if they would re-vamp the entire setlist and play songs either 1. never played live, or 2. songs not played the last 15 years. They will not be touring forever and with 20 studio albums I think it's about time to change it up in a major way!
7. I believe we will get them here in spring/summer 2013. Depending on the timing they may not be able to play Red Rocks though. Spring is real iffy weather wise and so is most of June. I'm personally hoping for a summer tour to drive to a bunch of shows.
8. I thought she and Aubrey would be duking it out in the end, but I was wrong. Aubrey is one tough cookie, I'll be surprised if she doesn't make it to the end.
9. QUOTE (CantStopThinkingBig @ May 6 2012, 10:15 AM) Fringe HAS been renewed for a 5th and FINAL season. The only downside is it will only be 13 episodes, not 20+ like all the other seasons. I hope they can wrap the whole thing up nicely with only 13 episodes. ^^ Glad to hear this! The last I heard it was on the bubble for next season. The last several episodes have been better than I ever thought and I really loved the show already!!
10. Dear God, please NOT another feedback!!!!
11. The 70's to early 80's was there best time periods IMHO! I only listen to 4 songs on TFE, 2 on Presto, 4 on RTB and 6 on VT, these are my least played albums. Feedback was absolute shite and I hope I never have to hear Rush play a cover ever again. I would've rather they toured just because it was their 30th anniversary than to listen to them play some other bands hits. I wish I never had to hear the following in concert EVER again!: Red Barchetta, Freewill, Subdivisions, Spirit of the Radio, Tom Sawyer, Limelight, and New World Man. Please, please re-vamp the setlist by eliminating the above and break out older songs (toned down is ok) and songs never played live before you retire! And yes to whoever asked, I have ALWAYS been in love with Geddy, nose and space between the teeth included!
12. QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ May 2 2012, 11:18 AM)
Hey , it happens to everyone. It just sucks because there are some songs he can't sing anymore and we will never hear live agian
Agreed. Would love to hear him belt out some of the old tunes again... Anthem Something For Nothing Although unlike most people, I'm fine with them tuning down the songs so long as we get to hear them! ^^ agree! I would be VERY happy to hear some of the 70's tunes toned down just to hear them played live one more time! I still think for a man of almost 60 his voice is good. When you age your vocal chords shorten, nothing you can do about it. How many other 60 year olds can you say sing better than Geddy?
13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICK!!! HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!!

Tears

I love this song! In my own little mind I believe Geddy got busted fooling around and wrote this for Nancy. We all know he doesn't like to write lyrics, and Neil was already doing them at that point, so my thinks he was a bad boy!!!
15. I'm sure hoping for a 2nd let as they skipped Denver again! They didn't come here in 2011 either There are more venues here than Red Rocks lol
16. QUOTE (Snaked @ Apr 30 2012, 01:05 PM) QUOTE (CameraEye35 @ Apr 30 2012, 03:45 PM) QUOTE (Snaked @ Apr 30 2012, 12:36 PM) A show on Black Friday.. ugh! I actually pulled a single 3rd row, Geddy's side but tossed it back. I cant justify the airfare on Black Friday like that. How do you let row 3 go? That's rough. What's the issue with Black Friday. Are flights really ridiculously expensive? I love the day of the shows at MGM when they're piping in Rush tunes all day in the casino/bars. LOVE that! Just the thought of it puts a smile on my face. Sounds a lot better than dealing with a bunch of idiots at Best Buy or wherever. not easy to dump a 3rd row seat but my criteria for this show was first 3 rows centered. the one I pulled was a bit far off to the side. not a bad seat at all but not what I was willing to take. so somebody out there got a nice 3rd row seat on Geddy's side of the floor. not to mention Black Friday is like a holiday for me. LOL! I spend lots of cash buying stuff dirt cheap and I do it all online now. It's amazing how expensive it is to save that much cash ^^I'm with you Snaked. I had those seats in section B row R and threw them back about a dozen times. It's not worth it to me to spend the money to travel for seats so far back that I cannot see (I'm only 5'2") I wanted the first few rows only and that did not come up. There's still a LiveNation pre-sale and the general sale, so who knows what I'll end up with.
17. QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Apr 28 2012, 07:12 AM) QUOTE (SchemingDemon @ Apr 27 2012, 08:49 PM) As a younger female, I definitely get some looks when I show up in Rush gear and rock out at a show. But this Muslim dude from the Toledo show just does not look like he fit in . At least it appears he was enjoying the show! at approximately 0:40: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9BGClR0YaI Share your stories! This guy goes to multiple Rush shows ever tour because i'm pretty sure i've seen him at a few before. He's a big fan and as said previously a nice guy. He's a Doctor I believe.
18. The teenager that was shoved next to me during the 2010 show at Red Rocks. Mom won meet and greet and first row seats(they got there late and there were NO seats for them, so they shoved them next to me and the kiddos). He didn't know the band, didn't want to be there and texted on his phone for the small amount of time they were there. Mom took a couple pics of Neil and split! Made me mad that a fan would have loved for the opportunity they won.
19. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
20. I believe they continue to attract younger fans. My own kids first saw Rush when they were 3 & 6 and have gone to every tour since then. My daughter knows many a kid in her high school who is a Rush fan and my son has has found some kids in middle school wearing Rush shirts. As the "older" generation pass the torch to their kids the word will continue to spread about what a great band Rush is! My kids already know that no matter how many concerts they see in their life time none will compare with a Rush show!
