Nightwish blows. Lacuna Coil is average at best. Nah, mediocre at best. Nah they just suck. HAHAHA! Agreed amigo. That was my point! I think all three bands SUCK, but Green Day just sucks a bit harder. Billy ArmWEAK is so overrated. Hahahahahaha Green Day kick ass. American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown contain more awesome riffs and melodies than most bands can come up with in their entire careers!

Starbuck's Iced Coffee May Have Fecal Matter In It
Mithrandir replied to Lorraine's topic in Random Samples
Neither have I. Never have stepped foot in one of their places, and never will. But many others do patronize the place and thought they'd be interested in this newsy news. Why do you avoid Starbucks? -
I had a friend throughout my teens and early 20's who was a compulsive liar. Just made shit up constantly. About where he went to school, where he worked, etc..pretty much lied every day to some degree. I haven't seen him in almost 30 years.

Why did she mouth off at you? Simply because I could not activate the phone as she requested. I told her politely that an AT&T phone cannot be used on Verizon’s network because the two carriers use different technologies (AT&T uses GSM bands; Verizon uses CDMA). But she got upset and said that I was just being lazy and not wanting to do my job. I had half a mind to laugh, and half a mind to smash her stupid phone into a trillion pieces. But I didn’t. :D Plus, It's not worth losing your job over some fool. If I were his boss I would have high-fived him after he smashed her phone. Supervisors need to back up their employees when said employees are correct!

AC/DC album clash: Highway to Hell or Back in Black?
Mithrandir replied to Texas King's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Highway just barely. -
Oh snap! Bad Blood, or better yet, All This Bad Blood, is as good as it gets. The second album just took the same formula and made it...boring. Bad Blood is just so.......boring... Pompeii is catchy enough.

The British 60s/70s hard rock duel! Who, Zep?
Mithrandir replied to Entre_Perpetuo's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Liking a cover version of a song over the original is subjective. Like what you like. But do really think Zep was a gigantic musical leap over the originals? Amplification and John Bonham have a lot to do with the differences. Yes, a gigantic leap. -
What is your favorite RUSH studio album cover?

The British 60s/70s hard rock duel! Who, Zep?
Mithrandir replied to Entre_Perpetuo's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Zep by a landslide. The Who are great, but Zep are the greatest. Their pilfering of old blues songs is so ridiculously blown out of proportion. Their renditions of said songs were a GIGANTIC musical leap over the originals. That being said, they still should have acknowledged the original writers. -
In my top 10 Rush songs. I grew up and still live in a small town..in a little neighborhood. So i relate very closely to these lyrics. one of my all time favorite lyrics: It's understood By every single person Who'd be elsewhere if they could So far so good And life's not unpleasant In their little neighborhood

Do you consider Moving Pictures to be a perfect album, a masterpiece?
Mithrandir replied to Texas King's topic in Rush
It is a f***ing masterpiece. Not just a masterpiece, but a f***ing masterpiece. I love every second of the album. The Camera Eye is NOT too long. Witch Hunt is brilliant as it makes you feel like you are in an actual witch hunt. Some of Neil's best lyrics too. Vital Signs, while not a classic per se, still rocks out with a cool vibe.
