  1. QUOTE (LeaveMyThingAlone @ Dec 21 2010, 09:31 PM) There are certain 100% moneymakers for Rush on a US tour. Irvine, CA Las Vegas, NV Red Rocks Chicago Toronto I just can't see them skipping any of these cities...they sell well and are cash cows for the boys VEGAS BABY!
  2. A productive band practice and a new direction in the vocal department. Oh and McRib is back.
  3. Rick, Corey and Chum showed up at a weekly rock show at the Suncoast Casino one Wednesday night. The singer for the band ( www.ybrband.com ) was handed a note from one of the casino managers "ladies and gentlemen we have some celebrities in the audience tonight" etc. People flocked to them like they were rock stars. I like the show.
  4. I've seen my share of Rush shows and this one was without a doubt my favorite. The whole vibe was just perfect. The guys were having fun and one could feel it. The Moving Pictures stuff felt different than just hearing a single song here and there from MP. They were really into playing the songs and it showed in their playing and the sound.
  5. QUOTE (librarian @ Aug 11 2010, 07:24 AM) I like because they don't feed into that girly crap. Hope they don't do this at PNC...unless they ask ME to give Ged a beer. Agreed. You wont find any of the members of Rush cruising the "That's it" thread.
  6. Still haven't seen it yet but get this..... Toy Story 1 came out when my son was around Andy's age...TS2 same thing. Now TS3 comes out, my son just graduated high school this year and is going to college in the fall. So Tanner has sort of grown up along with the movie trilogy. Anyway tonight is one of those nights when I don't have anything planned, the wife is working and my band is on a short break so I ask my son if he wants to go see TS3 with me tonight. He replies "No but I'm glad you'll be out of the house. I'm having some friends over to swim and talk about the classes we want to take this fall"......... Betcha anything I cry like a baby while watching this movie.
  7. QUOTE (ChroniclesOfRush @ Jul 15 2010, 09:20 AM) QUOTE (Turn Me On Dead Man @ Jul 3 2010, 12:28 AM) QUOTE (Spindrift82 @ Jul 2 2010, 11:47 PM) I actually liked the guy before this came out. Now I can't stand him. He's changed Beetlejuice for me, sadly. At least we still have Wenona (spelling?) Ryder. The things I would do to that chick...assuming she hasn't already done all those things to herself. Greasey but awesome. Before I pass judgement I need clearification on this statement: QUOTE According to court records, Jones paid the teen to pose nude for photographs while wearing a cowboy hat. Was the kid wearing the cowboy hat or the perve? I think they mean the photographer was wearing the hat. Loved him in his small role in sleepy hallow.
  8. Dear Blank, You're smothering me. 50 text messages in one day is too much.
  9. QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Jun 22 2010, 07:08 PM) No human with a functioning soul could not enjoy this movie. And if you didn't, I don't want to meet you. Ever. This.
  10. QUOTE (mazyyz @ May 25 2010, 05:37 PM) The only good songs on that album are Alien Shore and LTTA..other than that the album is weak....sorry You're wrong...Sorry.
  11. YYZ drum solo...hadn't thought of that. I think that would be totally tits.
  12. QUOTE (Enemy Within 77 @ Apr 8 2010, 10:25 PM) It's a no- brainer man, but they need to be realistic and play stuff Geddy can still sing. Exactly. Moving Pictures in the correct key or Hemispheres tuned down two steps...hmmmmm
  13. I'd like to see Alex and Geddy play the old guitars again for the Moving Pictures stuff. I didn't like the fact that Alex used a Les Paul for EVERYTHING on the last tour. There are just some songs that require the lighter, brighter sound of a strat or even a PRS. Mission is a perfect example. I say bring out the old Hentors and the Rics for this portion of the show.
  14. From a review I just read: The Jefferson Airplane wrung more cultural pulp and spooky imaginative power out of the "Alice" story in 1967's "White Rabbit" with two-and-a-half minutes and a little reverb than Burton does in 2010 with 108 minutes and millions of dollars. I will not waste the money.
  15. I would have to say something from HYF. Something like Mission or Turn the Page. Alex's stuff doesn't seem all that dificult on these albums I know but those other two guys were on fire IMO.
  16. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Feb 7 2010, 07:54 PM) QUOTE (rushfanNlv @ Feb 7 2010, 12:48 PM) I get the same thing because I like to watch 13 going on 30. It's only because Jennifer Garner's so freakin hot. It's totally ok to watch chick flicks to watch hot babes. Why do you think I'm such a huge fan of America's Next Top Model - because I love the modeling industry? OMG! My son and I watch that show too and for the same reason. He got me into it. However I get to hold the remote and mute the TV when Tyra is speaking. She erks the hell out of me.

  18. Definitely a rental....but then again, just about every movie is a rental these days. I love to watch movies I just don't enjoy going to the movies.
