  1. Bad Boys?... :laughing guy: Oh come on, you know they traded each other's tests in Jr. high! Derelicts!
  2. I'm so glad you have it! It is a really good recording, I think. The last 3 songs were added later is what it says on my CD, and the sound on those is not quite as clear but I love it all. It is such high energy and great vocals from Geddy that it is one of my favorites! I think it is around some places also as Fifth order of Angels.
  3. Awesome. I have never heard this before. The one, two, three, fooooooooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrr is incredible. Gave me chills to be honest... :codger: :haz: It's on Youtube, called (guess what) Geddy Lee counts to Four. :D My husband actually bought this somewhat unauthorized CD from Amazon and it is my favorite version of 'In the End'; it's wonderful. Ok, back to Neil :)
  4. :guitar: :guitar: :guitar: In honor of you! Happy Anniversary, Eagle! I always enjoy hearing your musical expertise! :D
  5. Sounds like a good plan for school. Good luck with the surgery- hope you feel better soon!
  6. JohnRogers, I thought you had 10,000 posts in the Muscle Car thread alone! I have to pay closer attention I guess! :P
  7. Congratulations to a sweet couple! Best wishes for many more years of happiness.
  8. Husband and I were just at the tail end of the last generation that didn't know the sex until they were born. :codger: :D Back then ultrasounds were pretty much a specialized thing and were done only if problems were indicated. My husband thought I was nuts, but I had a strong mom's intuition and had us pick the right sex name each time, thank goodness. We had the boy first, which made hand me downs a little easier as well. There were a lot of brother's t-shirts lil sis could wear with pigtails.
  9. Congratulations!! They are lucky to have you. :cheerleader: :cheerleader:
  10. :cheerleader: :cheerleader: Congratulations, Tick !! :dweez: :dweez:

    Cats!

to you and Gilby. I'm really sorry this happened to you. That sounds like a lovely place for her to be at rest- R.I.P. sweetie Scooter
  12. Most of those characters are 30-40 years old. Would you consider that recent? Durden and the Dude are the only two within the last 20 years. The top 3 characters are from the years '77, '62, and '81. :codger: :codger: Good point. I guess I was thinking of them as more recent compared to what I also think of as classic characters from movies in the 40's and 50's- Orson Welles as Harry Lime in The Third Man; Jimmy Stewart as George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life, Humphrey Bogart as Rick in Casablanca etc.
  13. ^^^ This. ^^^ I love the mention of Jake Gittes. I always get something new from Chinatown every time I watch it. I just saw this thread so I haven't finished thinking :P , but at first glance, except for the Dude/James Bond, the list seems heavy on more recent movie characters and action movie characters. Al Pacino's transformation as Michael Corleone is amazing and he is an epic character as well.
  14. Good to be able to have both feelings. Hope the rest of the weekend works out for you!
  15. Oh no! I hope you can get some Tylenol or stronger and feel better soon!
  16. I hope it turns out to be something cool and interesting for you! I know next to nothing about coins but I can tell you that the cut out shape is called a "keystone" shape, after the middle stone in a stone arch. Pennsylvania's nickname is the Keystone state (middle state of the 13 colonies) so we see it everywhere. :) Good luck!

    Cats!

I wish I could cuddle her... So do I....But she won't like it... I will giver her an ear tickle and chin rub on your behalf. Thank you. :) Am giving her a :mwah: atop her head, and singing "Soft Kitty" to her. Poor, sweet baby Scooter... I'm so sorry to hear this- we went through something similar with our Cinnamon a few years ago. I'm sure you being there gives her a lot of comfort. ((Hugs)) to Scooter.
