  1. Hi Lix, http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/pp338/plantfan40/wisconsin.jpg
  2. They have SiriusXM, my dentist has it, only some days he puts on channels I don't care for! Lemme at that tuner! :o
  3. Carpenters are brilliant. Karen's voice was truly a beautiful instrument. I always loved Richard's arrangements in different songs as well. Love to listen to them but find it so sad if I see them on the odd rerun or youTube, I have to turn it off. What a sad loss.
  4. Could be they'll formally say it, but the purpose of the appearance is just to sell the CD/Blu-ray. My guess is they'll try to sidestep that topic by giving the standard 'We don't know what the future holds.' Looking forward to it and hope they get some interesting questions. The Ged and Al acoustic show, coming to a city near you. Hey, I'd buy those tickets !!! :D :D
  5. Enjoy your day!! Yes, it was in the 70's here most of last week. Finally went in the 50's yesterday. So weird for November!
  6. From Rush is a Band: "We learned that Sirius XM's Classic Rewind (Channel 25) will be premiering the audio from Rush's upcoming R40 Live CD tomorrow evening at 3PM EST. Earlier today Sirius XM also announced that they will be hosting a town hall interview with Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson at their New York City studios this coming Friday, November 13th. They are running an online sweepstakes for Sirius XM subscribers to attend the town hall as well: SiriusXM wants to give you and a guest the chance to attend SiriusXM's Town Hall with Rush. This exclusive event will take place on Friday, November 13 at SiriusXM's NYC studios and will feature original members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson answering questions from an intimate studio audience about their legendary 40-year career, to celebrate the release of the RUSH R40 LIVE DVD+3CD set (out November 20). To qualify, we're asking SiriusXM subscribers to submit their most creative and insightful questions about Rush for a chance to ask the question to Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson in person at the Town Hall." To enter and for all the details go to https://www.siriusxm.com/rushtownhallYou have to be a SiriusXM subscriber to qualify for the contest, but I wanted to post this, I didn't know how many TRF members in the Northeast might be. They run their town hall interviews a number of times after the first time, so if you can't listen to it on Friday, you can hear it later. :banghead: I'm a subscriber, ask me how insightful I can be and how I can get to New York while having a horrible reaction to a flu shot . . :banghead: And they keep changing the time on the R40 broadcast tonight, not sure if it is 3 pm or 6 pm!
  7. Great flick. "Of course I'd be home. I'm uncool." Philip Seymour Hoffman !!! I miss seeing him in different roles. Such a sad loss.
  8. Took a break from football and watched Almost Famous! It's always so enjoyable- Kate Hudson has never been as good in anything else, IMO.
  9. I like their limited release of only 50 to make it worth more. . . . I guess the Greek economy really is in bad shape . . . .
  10. Thanks for the warning! Almost turned it on!!
  11. They had DELICIOUS orange flavored baby aspirin (you know where this is going) and after my sister and I made a few tries at the bottle it was banned from our house. Doctors really had much fewer choices as far as Rx's and that was the mark of being really ill in our house- going to the Dr., because all he ever gave out was codeine or penicillin, my mom made sure we were pretty sick, first!
  12. Egads. Too bad. :) For sure! I'm with all the people that think lV is one of the best. It shows up pretty often though.
  13. Back to the Future III. My husband hadn't seen it in ages. I voted for Star Trek lV but got outvoted!
  14. Is Alex touching Neils ass?? Hmmm what does our resident body language expert tell us about this one? Haha This is the first photo I have ever seen in which Neil is wearing platforms How can anyone not love the 1970s ?!?!?! Love him in those!! But, yeah, Alex, hand check right now!!
  15. And x1yyz, your photos are awesome! I can't stop laughing at the one of Neil !! :laughing guy: :laughing guy: TM, come back and appreciate this greatness!
  16. Are you kidding? That's how people get their post count up. :D fair enough but another i don't understand is why people care about their post counts. it's a point of pride that you can spend that much time on the internet? i think i'd want to kill myself if i was so hard-up to achieve something that a post count would fill the bill! i sort of hate myself already for how involved i've gotten with this place and facebook, wtf happened to my life Oh I agree with you. Absolutely. Come to the dark side, we have cupcakes . . . . . http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/pp338/plantfan40/images-1_2.jpeg
  17. Thanks for posting this, Tick, I hadn't seen it before! Very funny! :D :D Glad you survived Sarah salt and peppering you!
  18. Happy Birthday, Johnny! Have a good one!! :cheerleader: :cheerleader:
  19. They could add Left shark to appeal to the non Rush fans . . .
  20. A hahahahahahaha! :laughing guy: :laughing guy: :laughing guy: :laughing guy: First Earl's John Cougar thread and now this, it warms my (previously lived in) Indiana heart! :D Where in Indiana? Richmond, in eastern Indiana, right near the Ohio state line. It got light really early in the summer with no Daylight Savings Time! Ahh, the Red Devils. Won quite a few sectionals back in the late 60s and early 70s. Even a couple of regionals IIRC. Not to mention the world famous home of Tom Raper's RVs. Are you from that area? The Red Devils did well when we lived there but the big high school player at the time in the state was Shawn Kemp! I got used to Raper's RV's pretty quickly but my relatives never did when they came to visit, they used to have a fit over the ads! :D I'm from the NW corner of the state, I went to Hobart (go Brickies!). I learned quite a bit about Indiana towns by filling out the brackets for the state tournament as a kid. And the Tom Raper RV commercials were ubiquitous on Indianapolis TV when I was in college. I remember them mostly from when I was a kid/teenager. They don't advertise on TV like they used to, I don't think. Didn't those ads always used to say, "Just a short drive from anywhere"? Or am I thinking of something else? Ha ha, I had forgotten that part! No, you are right! My roommate in college was from Elkhart, IN where they build a lot of RV's. She laughed when we lived in Richmond for a while with Tom Raper RV, she was like, "I can't get away from RV's!" Speaking of Elkhart, you mentioned Shawn Kemp earlier. Most athletic HS player I've ever seen. In the state championship, I believe he fouled out in one quarter (the 3rd). But that team couldn't have won the sectional without him. Oh, wow, that must have been something to see him play in high school! When we lived in Richmond, Kemp just missed out on the Indiana "Mr. Basketball" award because it went to someone from Richmond- a guy named Woody Austin (not the golfer.) Austin ended up at Purdue but his skills never translated to the NBA, I guess.
  21. I love it !! Too funny! Memories...from the corners of my mind...misty watercolor memories, of the way things were.... It is funny how they say to turn at the school bus factory- that was Carpenter school buses and it was a hot job in Richmond. Yes, memories . . . .
  22. I love it !! Too funny!
