  1. The same guy has cut my hair for almost 30 years. He had a similar comment one time- "You've stuck around longer than my wives!" Luckily the current marriage seems to be a success.
  2. RIP , Joe! You and the "Blood Sucking Monkeys from West Mifflin" will be missed! He was a Pittsburgher! (Count Floyd was supposedly based on a 1971 low rent UHF Pittsburgh movie host on Channel 53.)
  3. Congratulations, Bastille Park and Welcome to the Hallowed Hall ! Great work!
  4. It appears that Pegi Cecconi, original Anthem office manager and huge supporter of Rush, has passed away. Howard Ungerlieder has posted a tribute on his social media. I don't have any other news about it right now. From Howard- "Goodbye to an incredibly wonderful and exciting friend who really knew how to enjoy a good time. Godspeed Peg, they have no idea who is arriving on their doorstep. You were always so awesome- we love you!" News confirmed by Alex- ā€œIā€™m going to get the f**k outta here.ā€ - Pegi Cecconi, QOFE. On her chosen date and time, because she was the Queen Of f***ing Everthing, Pegi got the f**k outta here. Bless you EC and RR - incredible ladies-in-waiting for her Royal f***ing Highness." This article talks a lot about her background, and her accomplishments in the Canadian entertainment industry. She will be missed! https://ca.billboard.com/fyi/queen-pegi-earns-walt-grealis-special-achievement-honour
  5. Happy, happy Birthday Leanne! I hope it was a wonderful day for you! Rush on!
  6. Thank you , Fridge! Looking forward to listening!
  7. What?? You missed this gem? He's really good in Boyz In The Hood. This movie, not so much, but people have to pay their bills somehow.
  8. Our yard/handyman guy is in trouble with the NextDoor crowd, unfortunately. He's good at the small jobs he does for us but apparently decided to tackle a bathroom renovation for someone and got in over his head. Too bad because he is a decent guy (with us anyway) but I think giving up in the middle of a bathroom job is not going to go well. Oh, dear . . .
  9. I bet it will work out! That's a great plan! We are invited to a friend's in Cleveland, probably won't go because we used to live there and it was always cloudy by the lake!
  10. It's supposed to be really interesting, my sister drove 2 states away the last time and slept in the car in a Dunkin Donuts parking lot to be able to see it get all dark.! (Although I think she liked the donuts just as much )
  11. I've seen 2 before where it was like that. It's really cool if you are near a place where there are shadows of tree leaves on the ground, or something like that. The partial eclipse will make a bunch of teeny crescents for the shadows and it looks pretty interesting!
  12. I'm just curious! We are in South central PA so we are not in totality. The closest place would be Erie, about 5 hours away. It might turn into a last minute road trip but not sure right now. I have my cardboard glasses! https://nationaleclipse.com/maps.html
  13. Beautiful sunny day in Pennsylvania and 65 degrees! I had planned to do some garden clean up. Voice of my husband- "I have my retirement advisor meeting tomorrow. Can you please make a list of how much money we spend each month and what we spend it for?''' Yes, I can do that. Yes, I would have appreciated more than 18 hours notice. (Not an Excel kind of person, I'm gonna have to try to read my own handwriting )
  14. Happy birthday JohnRogers! You almost snuck this one by us, no such luck! I hope today was a great one for you! Hope you get to celebrate with some deep dish New York pizza!
  15. Happy, happy birthday dear Duckie! Apologies for the lateness! (Life has been crazy here, not in a fun way ) I hope your birthday was wonderful and a great time! Ritchie says Happy Birthday!
  16. Yes! When the movie first came out my mom only heard halfway about it, she thought it was a real thing! She was like "Where can I watch this Wayne show from Aurora?" . She wasn't as interested in the movie!
  17. I'm about 700 miles from my birthplace of Aurora, IL, give or take. Strangely, after we moved to Pittsburgh, we found out the neighbor kids down the street had also been born in Aurora with the same obstetrician. Friends for life (due to other reasons, but yes, friends 50 yrs later still ). Lived in many states after marriage (Scientists gonna science)
  18. I had forgotten that! The one where Van Damme plays his own twin was always the one I liked , Double Impact I think?
  19. Thank you! Yeah, their story is so interesting, but so sad for them.
  20. Yes, Jagr's return for having his number retired was a bright spot in a pretty weak season . They managed to lose that game as well.
  21. Thanks for the tip! That sounds pretty good, will have to try tomorrow!
  22. It was a "delicacy" some friends Grandma's made growing up! The test of I think it got harder to do when neighborhood butchers went away but now they're kinda back. I'd rather get meat!
  23. Thanks! I need czernina (or maybe not! )
