  1. Ok, here's the Tom Sawyer cover. The lip synching and keyboards are spot on.
  2. There's also a peanuts cover of Tom Sawyer, but it doesn't have the magic of Xanadu. I'm little disappointed they didn't get Schroeder more involved with the keyboards.
  3. Interesting...and I'm sure some of you are getting ideas to do the same. Just a hint, you'll probably want to bring your own generator for anything electric.
  4. When my ex had seizures you would swear she was dancing to the beginning of TSOR.
  5. MUST....FIND....VIDEO
  6. Gotta go with Pat...her and her husband have talent. Mellencamp is a Stringsteen wannabe with hemorrhoids.
  7. Move the Lions there...please, please, please. Seriously, no need for additional teams but move at least one to LA. When you look at the divisions, they are seriously misaligned geographically. By shuffling the divisions, you may create more regional interest. For example, WTF is Miami in the East when the division should be Tampa, Jacksonville, Miami and Atl (and maybe New Orleans)? Same thing with Dallas...WTF are they in the east?
  8. Neil hacked the TRF server and started deleting stuff. Careful what you say.
  9. First of all, Never listen to ESPN. I like the pitcher hitting. Depending on what inning it is. Its more of a strategy thing. If he is still pitching well and can lay down a bunt to move the runners over it's a good thing. There are and have been some really good pitchers that can handle a bat. JMO, but its just to easy not to have him bat. I like more defense than all out offense. But it"s basically an automatic out, an almost guaranteed non-athletic at bat that just disrupts the offensive part of the game. You like defense, but the pitcher batting removes any need for defense. No way, It's a game of chess. Yes, a bunt in most cases is an out. Plus all of the other players do it. There have been some really decent hitting pitchers through out time. I would rather see a player who is actually playing in the game hit than some dude sitting on the bench all game just to come up and bat. Here's a different way of thinking of it. If you remove the DH, then you have a bunch of old, poor fielding hacks having to play in the field which negatively affects play. I'm for rule consistancy first, but after that I think there's less harm in having the DH than eliminating it. Baseball is a more specialized game than it used to be. The reason the DH issue hasn't been addressed over the years is a long history of commissioners that have been lapdogs for the owners. Ok, How about just playing the game the way it was meant to be played. As I said, I'm for rule consistency first...all leagues do the DH or not do the DH. The original intent of the DH was to increase offense. It also had unintended consequences of older (star) players being able to stick around for a few more years.
  10. It can be such an eye opener tasting food from different cultures. We have adopted something similar into danish food culture. It looks like this: (sorry about the large image size, but it was the best I could find) My mom used to make them for lunch for me when I was in primary school :) A pretty common shape and filling among different cultures. Taste of course varies. Closest thing in the Philippines might be empanadas. That's a pastie in Michigan. But don't try sticking it on your boobs.

  12. Either get rid of the DH or make it the rule for both leagues. This AL/NL different rules is bullshit.
  13. More than just a few. Alex looked in pain up until about Buffalo when he started smiling and moving around more, and not as many mistakes. Yeah I suppose Alex was being a prick for hanging it up because of his arthritis. Wimp.
  14. To me, Dreamline is sort of the same as Time Stand Still. Kind of radio friendly, poppy song but nothing really groundbreaking. Just meh.
  15. live in a trailer by the beach, chain smoke and eat junk food and drive a Camaro...that's a real man! Junk food? well he ate a lot of tacos, but it was FIREBIRD not a camaro, sheesh that's like mixing up a Corvette and a Chevette for crying out loud!! :P pffft whatever. same car, different grill.
  16. Animate? In the same sentence as the other two no less... I do get a kick out of The Egg Man though. Gives me something to generally completely disagree with the majority of the time. Wouldn't be as much fun otherwise... :) I guess everyone has to have their own Segue and Mick. :) LABT I think you secretly need a Segue hug. As long as there's no musical accompaniment of your choice, that would be fine... *turns off Chaka Khan's greatest hits* You saying I have bad taste? Nah, just different than mine. That doesn't make it bad...well, except for the Boss. :) Yeah. I one said anything bad about Chaka, Chaka, Chaka Khan lemme rock ya, lemme rock ya Chaka Khan.... Rufus with Chaka Khan was Sexafunkalicious. Tell me something good...bowbow...tell me, tell me, tell me.
  17. When I took my 3 year old to his first hockey game I caught a puck and handed it to him. He looked puzzled and then started to throw it back on the ice. Nononono! you get to keep it.
  18. ...and home for dinner by 6pm.
  19. when I was young enough and small enough, I used to like to crawl up and lay in the rear window of the family 62 impala while my mom drive. She'd be taken in by Children's Services if that happened today.
  20. You're lucky! We had 5, 9, and 12. When we got Channel 19, we threw a party!! I had 3 5 11 & 13 and now I can access any channel in the world on my phone. Plus there's more music on there Than Would Fit In My Bedroom When I Was 10.! And it all fits in my pocket! Thats Crazy! No, what's crazy is that it's not enough for most people. And it'll never be enough. No cable, Now I just watch two channels out of probably twelve. there was actually quality shows on the 3 major networks when I was a kid. the only thing I watch now on the majors is sports...the rest is total crap.
  21. Finally got rid of my 75 yellow Schwinn continental 10 speed this summer. Haven't used it for years, just sitting in the basement, time to let it go. The cool kids in my hood all had continentals and we formed the continental club.
  22. live in a trailer by the beach, chain smoke and eat junk food and drive a Camaro...that's a real man!
  23. shakes were 25 cents at mcds and didn't taste like rice/geletin/industrial goo. my first car had seatbelts...which were an option for the car...and a solid steel dashboard (that i tasted a few times doing dukes of hazard jumps over the railroad tracks). used wood baseball bats and would tape them up when they cracked. wore chuck taylor high tops and actually played basketball in them. if you got a new schwinn bike, you rode through your hood like a bowsss.
  24. Well good luck with the Geek Squad boys. Might be worthwhile getting some type of backup service so it's not as painful if it craps again. I use Crashplan. It backs up to the cloud when you're not using your computer. Set it and forget it. External flash/hard drives are generally ok as well to use for backup, but they don't protect in case of fire or theft...and you have to make an effort to backup. Best Buy probably has a cloud backup service that they'll try to push on you.
