  1. I agree. Also, I didn't care for the time wasted on the cover songs which they could have used to sing more of their own, even though the covers were good.
  2. Could that be because it was a hastily put together tou,r and Neilm, or whoever, insisted they tour THIS summer so the venues in Nashville, Charlotte and some other major cities weren't available? I'm not saying this is right, but it's just a thought that crossed my mind. I doubt that would be the strategy. My feeling is that there was a limited number of shows they wanted to do and the rest is up to the promoters to figure out where they would be. Alex talks in an interview before the tour started of trying to do something for Cleveland, as it turned out it didn't work in the plans. I'm still hanging on to hope that a few more dates in N. America will be added but it's getting less likely now at this late time in the schedule.
  3. Your videos are amongst the best on You Tube. Excellent audio.
  4. For those fans stuck in 70's, they'll only like half the show. For those who like all era's, this is the show to go to. I loved it. I would have left out LP only because Ged can't sing it anymore which is pretty minor. Best song list for me in the last 4 tours.
  5. I hope those are sitting in front of me at my show. Darn. You're picture didn't post.
  6. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was a turn off for me, but I don't think they were portrayed as favorably as say they were in the doc. I do recall reading somewhere in the article that he was a big fan. I just think he tried to put some shocking stuff in there to create a buzz. Neil's political views and Alex's pot smoking were slightly surprising to me. I am imagine they did a lot of talking and some stuff that they did not intend to say or didn't think would get printed got printed - the Kiss bit about branding or whatever it was and then the whole Joe Perry thing was kind of awkward. I described the article to a friend as full of bombshells. He made Alex sound like a drug freak desperate for his next joint leaning out the hotel window in New Orleans. I won't comment on Neil. Geddy sounded as if he was mocking fans. His remark about the man in the second row during Xanadu annoyed me. I wasn't there to hear how he said it, so I don't know for sure his intent. I don't know what it's like to be a member of a long-time famous band, but I would think that it would make me happy that my music, after forty years, meant so much to fans that it could still get a reaction like that from someone. If this behavior was common for him, I might think the same thing but he has always spoken well of fans so I see no reason for him to be disrespectful.
  7. If they were playing Europe and Radio City in September, i'm pretty sure the shows would have been announced by now. Financially, they wouldn't make any money taking their show over to Europe for only a handful of dates. Seems very unlikely to me. It would have to be late next summer at the earliest, with a scaled back production. They could do a mini run in London and Germany to keep travel costs down, then bang out 4 big shows in NY and LA to nail down some profit. Why not just add a few cities that were important to their early success at the end of this tour like Cleveland and Pittsburgh
  8. I was feeling like that before also but I'm starting to feel that they will include a few important cities like the ones I mentioned.
  9. Since there is such an overwhelming demand for tickets at almost every show so far and most are selling out easily, do you think Rush will add more dates for cities like Cleveland and Pittsburgh. What others cities should be added? Sorry in advance, if this was asked before.
  10. Cleveland and Pittsburgh would be nice since they were some of earliest supporters.
  11. You have a point but judging a performance from a cell phone recording isn't entirely accurate. The professional recording should tell the story.
  12. Carnies instead of the Wreckers, Earthshine instead of OLV, Malignant Narcissism instead of Far Cry
  13. I thought that was for the VT songs. How It Is
  14. I agree. Things will change, but as others have suggested, new music could very likely be created by them and there may be much shorter performances. That gives me hope that I'll see them again one way or another. In any case, there's a lot of great music out there by other performers.
  15. I'm beginning to see why a little bit of not knowing the complete setlist every night is exciting.
  16. That,Lakeside Park and Anthem are doing it for me! Jacob's Ladder and 99% of Xanadu are helping...but the stuff from when I first discovered Rush is amazing! (I saw the whole 2112 on the T4E tour, and they did Working Man recently, so) Lakeside Park is the big shocker for me. Still can't believe they went there. They must have gone back and taken a fresh look at the song. They've always said that they play the songs they want to play. I don't think they play any song specifically to please the fans. When in the last 30 years have they played anywhere near this amount of prog in one set? Never, which suggests they are trying to do just that, appease their long time loyal fans. They didn't come close to the recent set C in one set of R30. They've got more surprises on the way methinks...Superconductor anyone? It'll rock so hard I'm Still hoping Cut to the Chase will rotate in for Animate at some point. Yes, but In The End would make my day.

  18. I agree. Many of those recording devices have a tinny sound and and don't capture what the band really sounds like. There are some good ones out there, unfortunately, more bad ones than good.
  19. That light show was over the top fantastic.
